Warning about Chemist Warehouse Delivery

Chemist warehouse sent my medicine and eyedrops to the wrong address on the other side of the country.
It has been six weeks and still no refund. What makes it worse is everytime I call, the representative tells me me something untrue like I am not entitled to a refund.
They try every trick in the book. Right now my only hope is my credit card company.
This is just a warning guys and girls. Don't trust the online store.

P.s plenty of evidence that the error is 100% theirs.

        I'm not defending CW or saying it's acceptable. I don't even shop there or have any loyalty to them.

        My point was that there are probably plenty of ozbargain users, at this very moment, in dispute with a business transaction that's gone wrong. Shit happens and customer service charters do fail.

    Millions of people shop at Chemist Warehouse. Occasional hiccups and poor customer service in isolated incidents isn't representative of everyone's experience. Same applies to any other company.

        Don't shop at CW but there's a habit of people having a single poor experience then posting a "PSA" about it.

        There's issues that happen with everything, every product, every retailer, every courier, every vehicle, every device. Doesn't mean everyone's having the same experience.

        People tend to be far more vocal when something goes wrong than posting a positive review every single time they make a purchase or receive a package just fine.

          chemist warehouse have had a multitude of complaints in relation to poor practices when it comes to customer service and purchasing online and instore.

          this is a fact.

      • I count 24 total online orders with them from May 2020 and all of them were great. If the ratings above is fair, I should had only about 5 great online orders with 15+ were bad? Yes small hiccup such as they gave me different brand when I submit prescription which then they fixed it straight away.

    Our weak Australian Consumer Laws are the reason for all this.

    Consumers have no rights, businesses take customers for a ride and refuse support.

    We say we have strong laws but on ground nothing. If you contact consumer affairs it's useless as they don't care.

  • I feel like CW has done a great work with their free delivery for prescriptions items even it's just a $5 item.

    Ask them proof of address used in the shipment, and if it's correct, then it's the carrier fault.

      Shouldn't matter whose fault it is from OP's point of view - if it is the carrier's fault then CW can get compensation from them, after refunding the OP.

      My order confirmation email has the correct address. The delivery package was then incorrectly labelled by CW and sent to a non-existent address.

      • thats pathetic….hard to believe how bad they can be? and they ship MEDICINES and HEALTH CARE items. its unbelievable really…

  • ignore people defending chemist warehouse…theres some stupidly loyal users here who always deny any wrongdoing by this mob despite plenty of bad experiences by lots of customers. their customer service is abysmal and delays in shipping & exorbitant pricing are some of the issues ive experienced

    To those defending CW. All my emails have been completely ignored. This is not standard practice. All my contact with representatives has left me thinking that I either have lots of evidence that they are trained to lie or they are all woefully informed of their practices and internal procedures.

      took me 10 days to receive an email reply to an urgent enquiry on our order …..10 days to reply to a bloody email??!!!
      and this is on an account that spends $1.5-2K on medical needs from them per year.
      its disgraceful from such a huge corporate that positions itself in 'health care'

    No one is defending them. They are simply saying that there are problems at one time it another with all businesses and shipping. Your single experience does not need a PSA.

      but this is isn't really a "warning", it's more just a rant by the OP to show their frustration. it would be a proper "warning" if this happened 100% of the time to every customer. but i guess this has already been explained to you multiple times in this thread and so you're just choosing to be this argumentative

        Maybe because it's a product review, ie. Review of the product itself. CW and the staff aren't a product. LOL

          reviews are seldom for the product alone and usually include factors such as customer service, delivery times & pricing

            @franco cozzo: Unless the review requested serves a specific purpose. It even says in your link "Step 1: Find your product". It's a product review, not a business review.

            If you want to rant about the entire experience, from the colour of the website to the tone of the staff, use productreview / google etc. It's irrelevant and unhelpful to read about how you hate the price when someone just wants to know how the cream feels.
