  • A thousand bucks for a day out for a family of 4 is a bit toppish!

  • The tour company appears to breach the ACCCs' ban on excessive payment surcharges by not including their mandatory 2.9% credit card surcharge + 1% booking fee in the displayed price of their products

  • Put the price son on the title

    • Prices vary depending on the ticket type :)

  • it’s cheaper to hire a car and drive yourself over there on the ferry. It is a nice place to visit. All the food and sights are on the map that they give you on the ferry.

I regret upvoting, don’t know how to retract it

That is true, but at the same time I know lots of travellers like to try the beers, wine and spirits that can be tasted in numerous locations across the island which can be problematic if you don't have a designated driver. I also hear back from a lot of travellers that are overwhelmed with all the options on the island, and by choosing a tour they can squeeze in as much as possible into their day without worrying about directions, driving their rental car on unsealed roads, and wildlife on the roads. For some it would be considered expensive, but others would view it as great value, considering it is a full day with both lunch and morning tea included (and heaps of other tastings), and no need to pay for the ferry :)
