It's priced just above gold and below platimum(now rebranded to 18yr old)
Personally - Taste wise and value for money I'd say best johnnie.
I tried red, black, blue, gold and 18 side by side a while back, and 18 was the clear winner for me.
Having said that, I'm preferable to single malt and low peat, and the 18 seemed to have more of the characteristics I like. Possibly because of the barrel time.
The only decent JW. Blacks are ok to drink, nothing else JW worth the money!

Yes, easy drinking on ice.
In my experience single malt drinkers can usually tolerate it and for blended scotch drinkers it makes a nice change.
I haven’t seen the green label gift box for sale for ages.

Just created and account to wax eloquent about this whiskey. The best bang for buck whiskey there is, blended or single malt.
Fantastic blend of defined malts, smooth neat or on ice, without any pretence to be more than what it is.
Had a minor panic when prices started going north of $90(looking at you nicks), but spotted it at Costco Moorabbin at this price yesterday and grabbed two.
Just to drive home how underrated this is, they also had glenmorangie 10 and Glenfiddich on display next to it as well but they were just empty boxes that one had to collect after PoS. Meanwhile the green label is just chilling next to them box, bottle and all. I took offence on the green label’s behalf.

Green is OK but no where near good as blue, however price different is there too.

Slight correction. It's not blended scotch per se. It's a Vatted Malt or a Blended Malt. ie Single Malt from [I think] three distilleries.
It's a blend of 15yr single Malts from 4 Distilleries - Talisker, Caol Ila, Linkwood and Cragganmore
