I bought these recently for $1,199.00 delivered from golfbox.com.au, and they are a great all rounder starter set. That was a realy good price, the best I could find.

Had been looking at them again as a friend is also interested, and found them to be $1,109.00 at the golf warehouse. They do have shipping, I dont know where they ship from, and I havent shopped with them before either, but when I added it to my cart and tested a checkout it was only $22.50 to Geelong.

Perhaps golfbox will pricematch if you were to ask, and deliver for $1,109.00…

Just sharing for any golfers looking at a good first set

  Surprised no mention about shaft flex and length. Presumably regular flex shafts and regular length clubs, which is fine if they match your height and swing speed. If not, then save your money and buy a set that does. Golf is frustrating enough. Having ill-fitting clubs would make it even more frustrating.

  I would highly recommend going to your local proshop and getting fitted for clubs, if you are going to spend $1k+ on a golf set, odds are you have already played golf for some time before.
  I would recommend the TaylorMade RBZ SpeedLite set which will ring you about $1,700-$1,900 depending on where you are. But with fittings it will make much more of a greater difference.

  If you are a beginner, down here at Costco Moorabbin - I have seen this golf set https://www.costco.com.au/Sports-Fitness-Leisure/Sports-Equi… on sale from $599 - $699. If you can snag it, it'd be a great choice.

  Golf is very subjective when it comes to drivers, woods, irons ect - best that you get the right set for your type of game.

    I have that Costco set and I think that I got decent value for money despite paying more than that. The putter is a rather nice surprise.

    My set didn't come with a bag - so factor that in. I got something serviceable 2nd hand.

    And don't cheap out on a buggy. We've got one cheap model that is usable in dry weather but no fun in soft conditions. A more expensive one (again from Costco) weighs quite a bit - but it's well thought out and seemingly bulletproof in all conditions.

  Alternative for starters to buy a second hand set, PLENTY available from fb groups, ask a golf mate to help you out by finding a good forgiving set.
