Pretty sweet deal on a no frills 27 inched QHD curved monitor. I've been watching this for a while and it's been hovering around the $300 mark til now.

Yes it's a VA panel but if you're after a curved monitor, the large majority of them will be VA.

Key specs from their website:
- 1500R curvature
- 2560 x 1440
- 144 Hz
- 4 ms response
- 75 x 75 VESA mount

I bought this (or an older variant) about 2 years ago and it's still going strong. Jumped on this deal to pick up a second one for the office.

  • Would jump if it wasn't curved. Prices are dropping which is nice but mostly for curved monitors

    • Why?

      I always want curvy monitors….
I wish mine (a fhd) breaks so i can get 2 of this….

      • How is it having 2 curved monitors side by side? Do you just join them to make one long curved monitor?

Just seems better to have a huge curved one but I've got no experience with them.

        • +3

Yeah I was tossing up between a single 34" ultrawide or two 27" side by side. Each have pros and cons…

Single ultra wide would be more immersive for some games for example, only need a single monitor arm/less desk space and is definitely wide enough for most applications. Microsoft project / excel etc work great on it.

On the flip side, if you're playing games, not all games support ultra wide res. It will also be more demanding on your gpu so you may have to sacrifice some fps or lower settings etc.

Windows have some pretty neat inbuilt features to arrange multiple windows on the same screen but personally I find I work better with two separate screens because there's more flexibility to multitask. Key one for me is if I'm gaming for example, the second monitor can be used to display something else (discord, YouTube video, etc) whereas this would not be possible on a single screen. Same goes if you're wanting to have YouTube or Spotify etc on full screen (when snapped to half the screen, it may not have the same visual appeal). With a double screen set up, you could also flip one of them vertically if that's better for your work (not sure if curved would be the best way to go for that though..)

Other consideration is how much space you have on your desk to fit the a) monitor(s) and b) monitor stand (can get clunky if you don't have a monitor arm)

Hope this is somewhat helpful but it ultimately comes down to personal preference, what you use and workflow/style

      • I don't always sit in the one spot when I use my PC, sometimes I move further back and just watch mindless YouTube videos.

    • I wouldn't want a non-curved VA, given the colour shifting you'd get at the edges from poor viewing angles. IPS is better in many ways, but a tier above in price

  • +1
    • $15 Westpac rewards credit too
  • see the reviews… many 1 star……

  • Another thing to consider besides specs is the panel, the cheap Philips IPS QHD 75hz that’s the same price as this manages to have the terrible viewing angles of a TN panel

  • So I've had two of these monitors for 2-3+ years. Havnt missed a beat. Just need to change up the colour settings to your preference. Only "issue" ive ever had is they can get quite hot like most monitors.

  • Can this be mounted?

    • Yep with a 75 x 75 mm vesa mount
