Will he slap you if you don't accept his invitation?

    • 😂😂😂🤣🤣

      • +3

Not qualifying seems like a bit of a slap in the face 👋☹️

    • +2

Yes, if openly smack talk about his beloved wife at the same time.

      • +4

        beloved bald

        FTFY

    • +1

I want to be smacked by big Willy.

      • +6

Send me a pm, happy to help.

        • +2

Load that up on only fans and the money be flooding in.

        • Well, hello there….

    • +1

      How can he slap?!

      • -1

One of the few people who get this joke hahah

  • +32

This deal is better than a slap in the face, but nothing to lose hair over.

  • I got free 2 months from last deal. Is there anything good to watch ?

    • +6

I've only watched ted lasso, it's really good

      • +9

        Black Bird was good too

      • +4

        mythic quest is the best

      • Watch Acapulco if you enjoyed Ted Lasso

    • +17

Slow horses if you like spy stuff + british humour

      • +1

Just started watching this. It’s actually very entertaining.

        • +1

Slow horses is worthy of a watch.

    • +3

Apart from the main ones usually mentioned, others worth mentioning (imo):
      * Black Bird
      * Slow Horses
      * Trying
      * Schmigadoon!
      * Shining Girls

      • +1

shmigadoon was cringe and so bad imo

        • That's what made it fun 😄

      • A guy called Will Smith wrote 8 episodes of slow horses, but it isn't that Will Smith ;)

        Its a good show too.

    • +14

Apple's movie, Coda, won best picture at the 2022 Oscars. It's very good.
See is a very good, very underrated show.
Ted Lasso is excellent, and has won many Emmy awards.

Apple seems to put a lot of effort in a very few shows & movies. It's the opposite approach to Netflix.

      • +2

Coda was great. I work with a deaf person who watched it with her family (with CODAs) and absolutely loved it.

      • +2

I've found the series follow the same pattern/style as seems standard for those made by all the streaming services - slloooowww. Very drawn out. Lots of them could be cut by 3/4 and be much better.

        examples:
        Mosquito Coast
        Shantaram

        • Good point. Black Bird is exceedingly slow too, which is a shame since Paul Walter Hauser is excellent.

    • +33

      Severance!

      • +2

Mythic quest? No one? Aloy is in there lol

      • +1

Also recommend Severance. A great show which seems to be a good mix of different genres - a bit of sci fi, mystery, thriller its hard to pinpoint

      • +1

        best show in years!

    • +2

Also, Acapulco! It’s funny and sweet, but not saccharine.

Foundation looks amazing, possibly the best effects on TV and the Lee Pace storyline is really great - the rest of it is sadly very uneven.

      • +2

        Love Acapulco :)

        • +1

Agreed. Almost finished the second season and it’s better than the first :D

    • +3

      Foundation is decent

    • +1

Echo 3 if you like action

    • I liked Shining girls and Truth be told

    • Severance was kind of cool although stops just as it gets really good

    • +2

not mentioned so far is Tehran and See

    • severence, for all mankind, trying are some few comes to mind. I’ve had better success with their shows than the things on shitflix and prime tbh.

    • For All Mankind is good but really slow

      • For All Mankind is absolutely brilliant!!

  • -1

Does anyone find anything interesting in that? I just cancelled a 3 months trial after browsing whatever they had and every single movie or show was not included but you had to pay for. On top of that they warn you that if you dare cancelling it you will instantly lose access and never be able to test ever again.

Fine with me. Too greedy .

    • +5

I cancelled and still had/have access… not trying to stir the pot just saying i appreciate my 3 month free trial, nicer than a lot of other companies, maybe message them?

    • +5

Sounds like you are in the wrong place.

Apple TV+ (note the plus) is Apple’s subscription service with a (currently small) range of original series and movies, all of which are included. I’ve watched CODA (best picture Oscar 2022), Foundation, Trying (British comedy) and a few others.

These are all included in the subscription (or trial, I am using a trial).

Apple TV (note the absence of plus) is Apple’s attempt to provide a single portal into the whole streaming world, which IMO is pointless because any particular show or movie that you browse could be any service, likely one you don’t subscribe to.

      • I had the plus one that showed a bunch of things on the start page of their app, all looking the same, but everything I tried had to be paid for: Black Adam, Jurassic Park, etc.

After cancellation I opened the Amazon Prime Video and guess what: whatever it’s not free is marked with some icon or part of something you can buy: Paramount, Netflix, etc.

Surely it’s not an omission on Apple’s side.

        • +4

You were not looking in the right spot for Apple TV+ content. Apple's streaming service is exclusively original content made by Apple and their partners. The fact that you saw titles such as Black Adam and Jurassic Park emphasises this.

In your defence, Apple's naming convention for their TV endeavours has been confusing at best. There's the Apple TV (hardware), Apple TV app (which shows Apple TV+ content AND third party content available from other services and Apple's own paid library) and then Apple TV+, Apple's streaming service which has a library of exclusive content. As someone mentioned earlier, you need to make sure you are navigating Apple TV+ content (the icon is the Apple logo and tv+).

          • @hephaestus: The convention is fine.

          • -1

            @hephaestus:

You were not looking in the right spot for Apple TV+ content.

Ok. I just got this deal.

I'm on the XBox Apple TV+ app. I got the deal and have my 2 months access.

I went to "Watch Now". In the "What to Watch" section there is:

            1923: Paramount+
            Black Adam: Buy/Rent
            The White Lotus: Buy
            Strange World: Buy
Luck: Apple TV+ (so I can watch this one)
            and so on.

There IS an indication for Apple TV+ but nothing for anything else. It's confusing and annoying. My first reaction to this was "Black Adam! Cool. I'll watcclick gah!".

This also occurs elsewhere (suggested shows that are similar to the one you're looking at for example).

This is the way Amazon Prime was at first. No real indication of anything and, thus, a pain to actually find something. It's a massive UX failure assuming the goal here is a good user experience.

Amazon Prime now: Blatant indication if something is rent, buy or included with Prime and, unless you're subscribed, "Channels" (ie Paramount+) are wholly elsewhere (at the very bottom of the main home list or the shop) and also clearly indicated before you click.

I'm with @ALBastru on this one as even though they're not 100% correct, they're close enough to have a legit complaint.

        • +1

You just have to select the ones included with "apple tv +" and it'll never ask you to pay (the ones that are funded by Apple to be produced).
The other stuff is pay per rent or buy from other studios, you have to pay for these ones with all providers, such as Fetch TV, Xbox Movies, Google, Playstation, Amazon etc.
Many of them are new releases, a few weeks after cinema.

          • -1

@SimAus007: I’ll let others do that. Thanks.

            • @ALBastru: The included ones are clearly marked, that's my only point, the same as Amazon's Prime app, and I use both on the Xbox.
I've also never paid for Apple TV+ thanks to these ongoing offers (I probably wouldn't pay for it out of all honesty due to a lack of content).

      • +3

And the "Apple TV 4K" (or in previous versions, just "Apple TV") is a little black box you plug into your TV which give you access to various streaming services. This is nearing Google-level naming absurdity.

  • +4

I couldn't redeem it, "This offer is only available for new subscribers."

    • +2

A Will Smith in the Instagram post says your Aunt doesn't have it yet. So…sign up your Aunt.

  • "Enter your code to redeem your offer." Does anyone have the code?

    • +5

      SLAP

    • 4FYREH7PYNRA

      • +2

Thanks but "This offer is only available for new subscribers."

    • Yes I got this message on my iPad. But it's works on my Android phone strangely. I would suggest trying with non Apple devices and see.

  • what a bitch slapping deal….

  • +1

    How quickly Hollywood forgets

    • We’ll see. These movies were already made.

    • -4

What do you mean forget, he didnt kill anybody. Let me guess, you are one of those cancel culture vampires. The act shouldnt be forgotten, but he should be able to learn from his mistakes like any other human being.

  • +1

I.just realised there's no Android phone app, only android tv, google tv, firestick, etc.

    Apple are a funny bunch

    • Be thankful you have Apple Music.

      • +2

        I don't.

        • Then at least be thankful that Apple have, in their infinite wisdom, made an Apple Music for Android.

      • What is Apple Music? … actually, Apple Music on Xbox is sensational, particularly given I haven't paid for it :)

      • Completely broken on ChromeOS, incidentally.

    • +1

Could try your hand sideloading the tele APK onto your phone but I really have no idea how you'd go, don't have a lot of faith.

    • Yeah I found it odd… it's like "if you aren't a part of the Apple ecosystem we don't want your stinkin money!"

      • Assumed that but there is a Google TV app.
Plenty to watch already but wondering if the trial is worthwhile, don't have any apple devices or an Apple email, could do without it :P.

SEE is meant to be alright.

        • +1

There is a Google TV app. Plenty of quality content. See is great, a real original content. Apple ID is free.

    • Do you really want to watch on your phone tho.

  • +4
