Seems like a good price for base configuration, I haven't seen it cheaper.

It's looks cooler than the Surface but the Intel 12th gen H CPU only allows for up to 5hrs battery life, at best, from using one. So you will need to stay close to a power point to get the most out of it.
About 110$ cheaper than last ATL at $1597 while the dgpu-less sku of the Flow X13 was last discounted at I believe 1.9k or so.
Even without a dgpu still good performance at this form factor-again your other options are low powered chips. Good on jb for finally not listing it under gaming laptop category-did they do that before as well?
To be fair though, it is a "Republic of Gamers" laptop.
Would this run smoothly as a desktop replacement PC connected to two 4k external monitors?
Requires a dock as only one thunderbolt 4 with displayport output on this sku. Otherwise yes, 12500H’s xe have 80eu, coupled with the faster 5200mhz lpddr5 should work just fine.
How would this be for running a few VMs?
It only has 4 performance cores and I prefer to have 32gb of RAM for VMs.
While on the topic, any other recommended laptop models for running VMs @shellshocked?
Got it for $1264.80 with the 15% discount off Ultimate gift cards from Coles.
Can you please share your experience with this laptop? I am about to buy one, just a little concerned about the fan noise and heat due to its compact size.
Sorry, it is for my sons Xmas present so won't be using it anytime soon. Maybe check YouTube if someone has reviewed it there.
I have the exact model shown, mainly use it for massive excel spreadsheets and some gaming when i get the time to on it but its great!
The fans're mostly silent, even when they're cranked to full 6500RPM, they're still not that loud
Heat wise, it sits at about 45 degrees, but doesnt feel too hot, the hottest I've had it i think is in the mid 70's but that was doing a stupid amount of large data calculations in excel
Gaming performance is pretty good too with what ive tested, overwatch sits at 120 with everything on low, where as halo infinite sits at 3fps on low (i imagine this is due to poor coding etc)
Sounds like a steal at that price. Did you try to negotiate in-store at all or?
Nah…it was already heavily discounted.
The additional discount was when I purchased 15 $100 gift cards at $85 each at Coles.
This should have way more upvotes!
I've sent a message to JB Hi-fi for price matching at officeworks ($1297).
Even though its out of stock when you try to go through with payment, you can add it to the cart and it says there is stock on the website and through google, so I've taken screenshots of this and sent it to them as well.
If they manage to sort this out for me I'll be doing the ultimate gift cards to get this down to 1102.45
If I didn't get one of the MSI Summit E14s a few months ago is definitely go for this.
It's a bit weird formfactor-wise with the screen area housing all the internals, but damn a rog 12th gen 13in 16GB lappy with a 120hz screen for this price is decent. Crazy how cheap great laptops are getting now.
I5 tho. Looking for i7
Great laptop. I have the i9 version with 3050ti.
Be aware that you have to use the official charger (or XG mobile) to get 100W through usb-c. Its limited to 60-65W with any other charger.
Im really happy with my Z13 and only wished it came with 32GB. (This isnt an option).
For the form factor, its pretty quiet and doesnt get too hot.
Nvidia versions of the XG mobile are near impossible to get in Australia. The XG mobile sounds like a great feature but it has some flakey aspects to it. I don't own an XG mobile but had intentions to buy one, but ended up not wanting to.
Just seen it reduced to clear at Officeworks for $1297, but no stock and not available online. I assume JB won't price match as no stock
https://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/p/asus-rog-f…
Thanks for posting this, for some reason it was available to order online on my end, hopefully will be fulfilled.
If you don't put in your store or location it still says it has stock.
Using these screenshots to see if JB will price match.
Thanks for sharing this!
Let us know how you go, would love to get one as well
Managed to get JB Hi-fi to price match officeworks for $1297
Used x13 $100 gift cards that I bought for $85 each bringing the total down to $1105 spent on the gift cards and $3 balance remaining on last gift card.
Proof of receipt

thanks heaps for sharing, do you know if the display is 120hz ? Thanks I will try my luck in store tonight
@ozvictor: Can confirm the screen is 120hz-1080p! Goodluck my friend! Hope you get this steal too ^_^
@Vevku10: Thanks so much @Vevku10, I used your screenshot and they agreed to price match for me in store :) even though officeworks pulled the listing.
@ozvictor: Hell yeah! Super happy to hear I could help you out. I hope you'll be as happy with it as I am!
@Vevku10: I love it, it’s the most handsome laptop I have ever seen. Feel like holding the future, definitely worth it at $1100, I also paid by the gift cards. Thanks again.
@ozvictor: Hearing that I helped you nab this bargain has made my night. Insane value!
Good on you. My JB HiFi store did not want to price match. Maybe I will try again with your receipt. Can you please share your experience with the machine so far?
@ttkc: Hey mate, sorry for the late reply.
As of right now, I am over the moon about this machine. Even without a DGPU I've tested games such as LoL (summoners rift + Tft) both run smooth on medium-low at 120fps.
Just tried out Valorant as well, low at 80FPS was smooth (could have gone higher but didn't have time to check).
The machine stayed quiet, and was a bit on the warm side, but nothing insane.
If you have any games that you'd like me to try to test out, please let me know. I chose the ones above as I know they don't require that much power.
The convenience of having this small maching which is mainly used for work (Excel sheets, internet browsing) that is capeable of entertaining albeit in low settings, is phenomonal.
No regrets at all, all my work mates that have tried this machine out want to get one as well. At the price I got it for, $1102.5, It's a no brainer, if I got officeworks to match it at $1297 without the gift cards as it's expired, I'd still say worth it.
@Vevku10: Thank you for your detailed update. Very helpful! I will try my luck to price match this weekend, as I also have some JB HiFi gift cards to spend.
It looks cooler than the surface but wish it has 2k display
