Roborock S7 MaxV Robotic Vacuum and Mop Cleaner + Empty Wash Fill Dock $2498 Delivered @ Roborock Store

110

Long-time lurker, first time poster.

I've been tracking the Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra since I saw @Cyannon's post in November.

Purchasing the vacuum and the dock as two separate items is $2,498 (instead of $2,699 packaged together). Hopefully I haven't made a colossal mistake, but I'm sure someone will be quick to point it out if I have! After 10% Cash Rewards, this is $2,248 ($89 more than Cyannon's deal however, I've seen the price fluctuate a lot over the month, so this is close enough for me.

Have I forgotten anything?

I'm paying someone at that price

      You do you, boo :)

    • Yeah, I get a cleaner once a fortnight for 80 bucks who does my whole two level 3br house. I can pay her for 13 months for the discounted price of this device - longer than its warranty.

But each to their own, I love a gadget too.

Yeah, but my robot vac also runs every day - no way that once a fortnight vacuum is good enough to be honest.

        • +1. I use my robot vacuum every day in our new larger apartment and I was surprised at how much dust accumulates each day. Not quite sure why given it's in the same complex, other than we're in a bigger place, but I'm glad to be able to run it daily given our family have various dust allergies, from asthman to eczema.

We looked into a weekly cleaner but they're charging $40-50 per hour. In our circumstances (young children) our preference is for more regular vac/mop, not the other services provided by a cleaner.

Not quite in topic but just thought my experience might help others - I bought the ~$350 Dreamebot D9 Max the other week and it vacuums perfectly. Mopping is pretty average, and it doesn't auto empty but those things are not worth an additional ~$2000 to me.

    • Very hard to imagine how this could be 10x the price better ($250 for dreame D9 after discount)

      • Similar to a bicycle vs an autopilot car. Both get you from A to B (vacuum the house, mop the floors - although not well by downhillar's admission), but one is fairly manual and one is automated, without a great deal of intervention.

Feel free to pick the analogy apart haha.

        • Uh, their both automated vacuum cleaners. one requires emptying more often then the other and dosent mop as well. Not sure how its fairly manual.

never thought a vacuum would change my life. but (profanity) me these have hahaha no more paying for cleaners to (profanity) around for hours. if you get really lazy just wipe everything off the counters onto the floor and tell alexa to send the vac round

    • Hahaha genius!

    🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

    No. Just, no.

Packaged deal has a 2 year warranty where it is only 1 year if you buy them separately.

Appreciate the info!!! Hmmm what to do now… :/

I love my S7. But, I’d stay away from Roborock Australia. I’ve been attempting to get support from them for three weeks due to my Dyad dying after 3 months. No response from the customer support team, and their number is disconnected. I will contact the ACCC if I don’t receive a response by the end of the week.

Imagine if your $2,300 vacuum dies and you need support…

I had extended warranty as part of the s7 pre order.

Went back and forth for months and the kept rejecting giving me a new dock. Said I needed proof of the extended warranty on the invoice.

I sent the screen shot of the order and website from when I ordered as proof of the deal and they just kept saying no. Ended up buying a new dock for 50 dollars on eBay from NZ. Works well and appears to be genuine.

      Contact
      [email protected] and
      [email protected]

They got back within 48-72 hours each time I contacted them.

The [email protected] email is responsive but can’t process refunds, they are a third-party service contractor. The third-party refers to the [email protected] email. The CS email is completely unresponsive, and the 1800 400 123 number on their website doesn’t ring on most days. Plus, the 1800 number is only for the third party service company - who told me today that even they struggle to get responses from Roborock Australia - crazy!

      Had same experience. Avoid!

Which brand would you recommend? After a pile of reading and watching reviews it seems that the Roborocks are the best for mapping, object avoidance and mopping. Or are you suggesting to avoid buying direct and go via a retailer?

We have been watching Godfreys, they have cash rewards of 3.5% but then there was a stock issue. David Jones also had 10% off the Ultra (amongst many other things) last night. Harvey Norman was never close in price and we didn't go down the Bing Lee or Amazon path.

Godfreys currently running a competition for 2 Ultras, however I couldn't seem to enter my details and enter the comp. Check their website for details.

  • @HARV3Y how do you get 10% cash back? Thank you!

    • +1

Open the Cash Rewards app on your phone, access the Roborock website through there and they're currently offering 10% cash back. They had 10% a couple of weeks ago, then it reduced, yesterday it was back up to 10%.

Just an FYI, the empty wash dock doesn't have a bagless option for the vacuum bin (unlike the vacuum only dock).

    • Sorry I don't understand, the key features on the website look to be identical. Would you mind showing me with a link or pic?

      Thank you!

      • +1

This can be used without bags.
        This can't.

        • Yes, a major turn off. Roborock devices are usually pretty good with ongoing costs (ie they have a lot of non-disposable options, lowering your ongoing costs). So it was a shame to see the latest auto empty super dock not have a bagless option, unlike my S7 auto empty. Hopefully it's not a trend.

        • I see! Thanks for the info.

Managed to get this price matched at Godfreys for the S7 MaxV Ultra package with 2 year warranty and also a special 1 month price drop protection included in writing from the store manager (includes retail stores and roborock website). They also showed us a demo of it running and provided awesome service. Currently doing its first run now and it's doing a nice job so far picking up the dog hairs, perfect deal if anyone is looking to buy now :)

    • Which price did you get it price matched on?
