KitchenAid Mixer ~ $440 Delivered from Harrods UK - Metallic Chrome Only

101

for those that got shafted by the sosharp offer:

harrods have an extra 10% off until sunday:
http://www.harrods.com/rewardsweekend?icid=HP-Global-RW-0407…
you'll need to register for their rewards program, which is free.

so price is under 300 pounds - if you use your 28 degrees card, it works out at under $440 delivered to australia!

the uk have the same voltage as australia, so no transformer is required. just buy a cheap plug adaptor.

the only catch is that it seems you can only get it in metallic chrome. i have no idea if there's an international warranty on these things - assume that there isn't!

We offer international delivery on the majority of our online and catalogue items, however exclusions include perfume, alcohol, electrical, crackers, items containing wood and items of a perishable nature.

    • but the purchase has gone through and appeared on my credit card statement…

      did you try?

      • a small text detail on the confirmation from Harrods notes that it is not a confirmation of order, but hopefully it goes through

  • This is £349 or £314 with 10% discount. How do you get it to below £300.

      VAT is removed too.

Jeez. I could buy a lot of cocktails for that price.
You do realise harrods is like the opposite of big w?

    • And KitchenAid Mixer is the opposite of Abode/Aldi/Kenwood Mixer

      What's your point?

      .

  • I'm surprised their delivery is so cheap on such a heavy item!

    • maybe they have a deal with DHL or something, enabling them to send a container load of stuff, in a certain package size.

  • Works out to be £286 inc postage and vat taken out. $440 seems accurate.

My order seemed to go through ok using my 28 degrees credit card.

    Thanks OP

  • Great deal but lack of warranty kinda makes me think twice. I'll sleep on it methinks. Thanks OP.

edit: I've just fired off an email to Harrod's about said warranty and will update this thread with their reply.

If you were serious then don't be daft. I'm not affiliated in any way with that shyster mob and I've been a member of places such as Whirlpool and OCAU for many years now. Anyway, got this reply back from Harrod's:

        Dear Mr LP

We appreciate you taking the time to email us regarding the KitchenAid warranty.

If you were to order the product, your warranty card would be inside the box. You will be required to complete the warranty card and send this to KitchenAid directly in Germany. The warranty with KitchenAid lasts for one year after the date of purchase.

I hope you find this information helpful.

        Yours sincerely
