    • Different brand

Still a hoodie… Does the same job.

        • As long as people are aware its different.

I do believe that sometimes they are made from different materials and have different cuts so they may or may not do same job.

          • @Tleyx:

so they may or may not do same job.

Yes, the one I linked too may even be better.

    • It might not be the case here, but quality is worth something.
I have a (mid range brand) Polar fleece jacket that is 15 years old now. Still has good shape and plenty of years left in it despite frequent use.
It's outlived many a cheap jacket that loses shape after the first wash.

It's great quality. Have you owned one?

It remind me of how good Kangol hoodie was. I still want to get one if it’s on special not sure about this north face hoodie.

Geez TNF clothing has really gone downhill with their designs. Everything they made in the last couple years just looks horrible

    • +4

That's because they make their clothes in sweatshops in China and Bangladesh. Anything to save a buck…

      • Along with Vietnam and Indonesia, that’s 90% of the world’s clothes manufacturing. No different to any other brand there.

The black hoodie shows the back design and I’d have to agree that decent quality does not out way their horrendous designs.

$140 RRP for a hoodie?! FFs, that is just ridiculous.

Still wearing the $5 one from Salvo shop from many years back, does the job.

"Made in part with plastic pulled from the Himalayan foothills"…….

    • +1

      That's the new marketing trend

      • While you’re not wrong, it’s a good thing. I’m glad they’re reusing plastic waste to make clothes.

It might be minuscule amounts but they have to be able to make clothes from the plastic waste. We buy the glad bin bags which are either made partly with recycled plastic or ocean plastic. I’ve read the packet carefully, it sounds like a small percentage is used in the product but at least they’re trying. As a consumer I’m trying to support the effort.
