Gigabyte M27Q 27" 170hz QHD 1ms FreeSync IPS Gaming Monitor with KVM $389 + Delivery @ Umart

250

Was recently $399 + delivery at mwave (Ozbargain). Now $389 + delivery at Umart… I put in a couple postcodes around me, and delivery was $24.

Edit: mwave have it again at $399 + delivery. Might be worth checking who has cheaper delivery.

I’m no expert on screens, but seems great*… although some might not like the BGR sub-pixel layout. More details here: rtings.com

Isn't this the monitor that people mention texts being hard to read since its blurry and weird cause of BGR technology

Being hard to read since it's blurry is a bit overstated. I have one myself and tbh didn't notice anything. Ofc it's noticeable after I do a comparison, but you need to check for yourself before make a decision. That aside, I got this one on August last year for 359$ at MSY so I don't really think this price is a bargain, especially when there are many great monitor discount to 399-499$ recently.

      • I have the bigger brother of this one (m32q) and i recommend using SRGB, so much better for reading and doing work

        • Pretty sure the M32Q doesn't have the bgr thing, so it should be like any other monitor.

      • If you're using Windows, did you use the ClearType adjustment utility?

I've got 2 of these monitors and the only thing I found to be an issue is the backlight bleed (it's very noticeable on black backgrounds). I've also got the BGR panel and I don't really notice an issue with reading text.

Hardware Unboxed has an in depth review on this monitor, I'd recommend checking that out first before you decide to buy.

oh, I thought this was the monitor HWUB has been gushing about, turns out that's the "-P"/"Pro" version. Differences
