Looking for a reliable app / service for scheduling taxis. There seems to be quite a few in Sydney and wasn't sure which are worth using (eg 13Cabs, Sydney Taxi, Indrive, etc).
I have Uber, but prefer using standard cabs when I can. Was using Rydo for a while which I was happy with, but more recently a lot of my requests for a pickup go unanswered.
Does anyone else have a cab app that they use which they'd rate?
A catapult would definitely be faster. But not sure my insurance would cover the potential damage to infrastructure.
Honestly I don't think its possible to post any Taxi App as I feel everyone has a gripe (probably rightly so tbh) to like every taxi company.
In saying that, I used the "Silver Service" once, this was booked online (not app), but it SMSed me around the time the taxi was coming. If I created an account I could pre-pay (useful as you can see the fare before hand if you're worried they're going to hit you with something) and it showed a map of the taxi driving up which helps if you're on a tight time frame and have no idea if the taxi service just ignored your request and closed it without letting you know.
I would hope to assume the app would be similar/better.
(I know you asked for cabs, not rideshare, but) I have had good experiences with DiDi. Always cheaper than Uber and in my experience the drivers seem nicer.
