I am tired of my flat feet and decided to find a better pair of shoes. I read that Brooks Beast are good but unfortunately they are $280. Anyway to get it cheaper? I might buy 2 pairs in different colours because I would only be using them and for a long time.

Is this better than getting insoles from a podiatrist (which are around $400-500)?
The only reason you need insoles from a podiatrist is because you have a medical condition, no shoes made for the general population will be able to replace podiatrist insoles.
A little bit more than that if you want a thorough Biomechanical Assessment, casting/impression/scan and then manufacture and fit.
It depends if it's for a specific pathology, odd structure or lack of normal Biomechanics. Orthotics should not be looked at as an 'arch support'.
I've tried custom made insoles by a podiatrist before, it was so dang expensive and the hassle of removing them from shoes to shoes was too much to be honest. I ended up losing one of the insoles. Decided to stick to shoes which support my flat feet to a reasonable degree.

I run a lot and have sensitive feet and legs. What one person recommends may not be appropriate for you and your gait. I’ve spent a lot of time and money buying shoes and then not liking them, or worse still, buying cheap shoes and then having to spend the savings on physio because th shoes were not to my body type (Ultraboost when running I’m looking at you)
Athletes Foot does a decent assessment service to see what you need and like. Once you know what suits you then you can price hop.
Failing that go to Amazon and get a pair to test out as they have a great returns policy in case they are not suitable for your feet.
I have bad feet arches diabetic etc cheap runners in bit bigger size than normal 36 dollar schols gel inserts and save hundred s on "special" shoes for flat feet BS
walk into any shoe shop ask them to fit you for runners cost SSS go into same named store at different location do same thing then before they offer you shoes say almost forgot I'm a diabetic, watch the million dollar range come out LOL
Is this for walking or running ? For walking i recommend Brooks Addiction Walker instead.
