What Are Some Cheap PC Controllers?

I am interested to get a cheap controller to use on PC.

Does not need anything special just all the buttons I guess.

Can be wired or wireless but I guess wired is easier.

The Logitech F310 is tried and tested, and can be had pretty cheaply.

    • Used this controller for a few years, it wasn't the most comfortable controller to use especially compared to an Xbox controller but it is decent value.

    • No. It's got terrible ergonomics and it's old AF.

      Get an 8bitdo Pro 2.

    • It's solid and will last for ages, but yeah, it's really odd in the hand and is best with games that stick with the right thumbstick and the face buttons (like shmups, platformers, emulated games from 8/16 bit era). Even the d-pad feels kinda dodgy. The triggers have a long travel and stiff springs and I find they hurt my hands after only a few minutes of use especially given you don't have a good grip on the controller with your other fingers.

  • The cheapest dual analogue stick ones are probably Chinese XB 360 clones.

  • Enitrely depends on what games you'll be playing. FPS? Retro emulators? Sims?

    • Beat em up games
      Fighting games
      Platformers

  • I went with this one after doing a bit of research and reading lots of reviews. It's currently still on sale at Amazon. A lot of the cheap third party controllers seem to suffer from breakages or controller drift after a short time.

      Sweet I'll check it out

  • I was going to say the Rock Candy 360 style but apparently these have gone the way of the dodo. They are still on ebay for what is ridiculous prices for second hand. I paid $20 new, I cenrtainly wouldn't pay more than that for a second hand one but they are going for $40-50 for some reason. There are current versions for the Switch, I don't know if they can be plugged into a PC, but there is usually a way to make these things work.
