  • What's the warranty on these units? Could be just what I'm after.

    • "comes with a 1 Year Warranty" :-)

      • Doh. Looked hard for it and couldn't see it. Suggest you put it on the product page too :)

        Thanks.

      • Just checked with Penrith and they confirmed its only 3 months warranty for this iron. Can u confirm??

        • That information is incorrect. The warranty is 12 Months. Who did you speak to in Penrith?

    God damnit.
I just bought 2 x Phillips GC7330 in the past 2 weeks for around double this each.
I have a feeling Tefal make the better steam generator too.

    • Congrads~I had a De Longhi stream station a few years back (and luckily I bought extended warranty for it) and had them replaced under warranty 4 times, each time with a brand new one, and yet each breaks within a year. You can say I am lucky I am given a new one every year or so, but the time taken the damn thing to the repairer and process the warranty claim is frustrating. Eventually the extended warranty people worked out the De Longhi are duds and issued me a voucher to get any stream station that is NOT De Longhi. After advice from staff from Good Guys I have a Phillips stream station for 18 months and no a single problem.

  • was about to buy the Tefal GV8430 Pro Express from amazon germany yesterday for 155 euro + 40 euro delivery :o

But this for a 1/3 of the price, ill be happy to buy it and have bought it !! If i dont like it, they are going on ebay for $200 "wink wink"

Now can anyone suggest a good stable ironing board for a good price

    • Good Guys sell these new for $134 on-line clearance. They also have the Sunbeam ironing board on clearance for $98.

Agreed. Better in terms of dealing with returns and a shop front around Aus, if you dont' live in Sydney where 2ns World is based.

      • anyone can recommend a cheap but good quality ironing board. $98 is too much for a board imho.

        • We bought an Oates from bunnings a year or so ago, has been great! Solid construction and the cover fits well.. I think it was still round the 70-80 mark though..
Btw thanks rep, I just bought one, been looking for a decent one to pop up on here for a while now, and this is a bargain!

      • $134 versus $75 - that's a 45% difference.

I picked one up today, examined the carton before purchasing and looks good as new. Recertified by Tefal and warranty provided by them. Not sure how it stacks up to the Philips GC7330 I already have, but the Tefal is quite a bit cheaper than it.

  • So what kind of blemish are we talking about with these units?

    • I opened one up (and bought it), no visible marks/scratches. Plate was in fine condition. Not in original box but would pass for new.

The unit I picked up is a refurbished second and looks used. It also does not work. The manual is photocopied, and there is a slip of paper inside stating it is a refurbished second, and the warranty is only 3 months.

    • I got a replacement and thats faulty as well

      • Please message me your order number so that i can have a look into this. Sounds like the store might have given you the wrong model (factory refurb instead of a factory 2nd). The warranty on the factory 2nd is definitely 1 year.

      • Hi laser, I would like to get a replacement unit to you asap. Please message me your order number. Thanks

    • got the same problem as you - received a refurb unit with lots of markings etc. Have messaged 2ndsWorld - will see whether they can look into it…

Hi Inoxlc, I'm sorry to hear you aren't happy with the quality of the product.

I've also received your message regarding the 3 Months warranty card included in the box and just wanted to confirm your warranty is 12 Months. The warranty card is a standard card provided by Tefal and can be ignored if you've bought the item from us (feel free to ring Tefal to confirm this if you are still unsure; just mention that you've purchased the product from 2nds World).

We check the quality of all products before they are stocked in our stores but unfortunately we do get the occasional product with more marks than others.

You are welcome to return the product to us (we will pay for the postage both ways) and we will send out a replacement model. Let me know if you want us to email out a return postage sticker.

        • thanks for the reply - I have sent you another PM regarding the details cheers.

        • Just want to leave a note about the great service that I got from 2ndsWorld. The first iron was faulty and got a replacement no hassles!
