I hear a lot of stories about ticket scammers on FB but this time I need to buy tickets off FB marketplace. How do I make sure I am not getting scammed?

By not buying off FB marketplace.

  • Nuff said…

  • make sure

Impossible.. even the most legitimate looking ads could be a scam. There's always going to be some element of risk.

Present them at the event and if they are rejected then you know you have been scammed.

Take them to the event in handcuffs with you just to be sure. Then if it goes through, uncuff.

    • You attend some interesting events…

      • Sexpo is not interesting…it is fun. 😂

        • Its certainly educational…

I've done this once or twice.

Physical tickets = Fine, they hand you a thing and it's yours and you can go to the show/festival/whatever.
Digital tickets = I would only purchase these if I have a mutual with the seller. It's too easy to sell the same digital ticket half a dozen times, cancel it, etc, so if I have a mutual friend I can follow up with that person if something did go wrong.

    Have you tried Ticketek marketplace.
    https://marketplace.ticketek.com.au/

These are ligitimate tickets sold by people who have previously purchased the tickets. They are not allowed to sell them for more than 10% above face value.
Have purchase previous and no issues. The only thing is the even you want tickets to obviously has to be one sold on Ticketek
