Sources for manga and comics

Looking to pick up some manga and/or general comics for a tween for Xmas. What are your recommended and reliable sources for decent pricing, wide selection and general good service?

I usually read mine online and the places I frequent for regular books are charging ~17-20 per comic volume. Box sets are of course more cost effective but also beyond the amount I am looking to spend.

So far considering the likes of:
    - Sonic
    - My Hero Academy
    - Asterix and Obelix
    - Naruto

Action / adventure / comedy all good options. Looking for something enthralling to get him hooked on

Not sure if he'll be all ew it's a girl, but Yotsuba is about a five-year-old girl and her adventures. The art (especially when depicting real-life objects) is amazing.

Booko is fine for manga, sometimes doesn't show Amazon Au stuff as the cheapest because it factors in shipping.

15-20 a volume sounds about typical, so unless you really shop around for a series that's a little cheaper, that's about what you'll have to pay if you don't plan to go for a box set.

Amazon has the first boxset of Pokemon Adventures for 50~ which works out at a bit over 7 dollars a volume if that's something they might be in to.

  • Facebook marketplace, or see if there's any Facebook group for selling manga, if you don't mind secondhand. Some people get rid of sets to make way for new series

Try the Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers and Fat Freddy's Cat

    • FFC was such a brilliant cat…

  • I usually shop at Greenlight in Adelaide (they post). Good selection and advice.
