Anytime Fitness in West Ryde

Has anyone joined Anytime Fitness recently ? If so, what are the prices you paid ?

I went to ask West Ryde Anytime Fitness, and was told it was $13.95 per week with the joining fee waived. The guy did no hardselling or tried to persuade me to join. I asked for a discount and was told no. I'm surprised he did not try to sign me up, considering there's about 4 gyms within 3km radius of that gym so there's lots of competition.

There's Plus Fitness in Eastwood, also 24 hour gym, about $13 per week. There's Challenge Fitness, just near Anytime Fitness also around $14 per week. (both Challenge and Plus Fitness were opened within last 12 months only).

There's Ryde Eastwood (in West Ryde) $745 per year so that's around $14.50 pw. And finally Vince & Roz in Meadowbank which is around $650 per year.

  • Is there a particular reason you want to join Anytime fitness? You could try to call one of the other branches or the headoffice to try and sign up? Maybe you'd have better luck there since the memberships are the same australia wide.

  • I pay $11.30 per week at Anytime fitness Campsie. However I believe this rate could be the foundation rate when the gym first started. Anytime fitness is pretty good - the gyms are not the biggest but they have too many locations in Sydney which can be very convinient and you can use any of them anytime (after the first 30 days afaik).

Also consider taking up someone else's membership as you would be more likely to get a better rate, shorter contract, etc. I took up someone's membership from gumtree.

    • How's the laptop Mr alligator?

      • pretty solid man..as of yet..

        • It sure is, my HP Envy 6 could be lighter but for half the price of other ultrabooks I can't really complain.

  • stay away from 24/7 in Eastwood. They pack 60 people into a 8x20m space during peak hour. bunch of uni students stuffing around. sausage fest

the Westryde anytime fitness guys aren't really great at sales. don't expect any discounts, a take it or leave it attitude.

    p. s joining fee waived but u still have to pay for the electronic key $60

if you plan on moving or travel around the go for anytime fitness or fitness first platinum. if you stay around the area prob best is vice and roz…

  • +1

If you want cheap membership sign up at a different Anytime fitness, and because it's worldwide use. Use it at your local Gym.

for example, A local Gym (Emerton Anytime Fitness) at the moment there's just a $1 Signup fee (Includes your door tag and a back pack with bottle)

They are providing weekly deals for $7.50 a WEEK and if you buy 2 years in advance you get a year free, This is a great deal at that price. Than just use at your local anytime fitness gym.

  • Wow that's a great deal at Emerton, is there any catch such as you can only use the Emerton AF gym ?
The only catch I see is that you are locked in for 3 years, paying 7.50x2x52 = $780
But that works out to be $260 per year, very cheap.
Is it still on ? I might get there on Friday and sign up if true.

  • The catch is, no such deal exist anymore.

They only have $59 per month plan.
