i'd be confident in saying the vast majority of the 5 star reviews are fake.
True, but 1 star reviews are not usually a good indicator either ("never received", "good value (?)", "The towel sets we purchased appear to be of good quality"). I usually look at the 3-star ones which tend to be more rational.
@bio: i've found maybe 20 reviews that have said either "these are too thin" or "they have shrunk in the wash"

Kmart towels had changed. Not as nice as they used to be
The cheapest Kmart towels are terrible. I bought these to replace them.
The expensive Kmart towels are much better, but then again they're quite expensive compared to this deal.
I tried both, cheapest ones hardly absorb water. Expensive ones do a bit, but feel the same as the cheap ones.

900 GSM probably at least 200% expensive, possibly more.

But yeah, personally I stick with 500 - 600 GSM. The 900 GSM is comfy on the skin but takes too long to dry.

Not with good towels. I haven't used a tumble dryer in years and my towels are soft.
But I get your point still, you should be able to use one with all towels.

By looking at the picture, these aren’t very “terry”, hope they do absorb well and soft.
Does any have a recommendation of actual quality bath towels? I only know the usual suspects at sheridan/adairs/bed bath n table but im sure they all sell the same stuff. Wouldnt much actually mind paying for something nice if the quality is there.

Man, got these and washed them.
I cleaned dryers filter before putting them in, and when the cycle completed the filter was full! Took the lint off and it was almost as heavy as the face washer LOL!
Cheap short cotton fibres used, no good. But for the price, yeah alright…
My other Egyptian cotton towels hardly lint. Only have to clean the filter once every 4-5 cycles.
Got these today. Thinking of returning them. Washed them on a 30 minute cycle and some threads are fraying.
