I'm not sure this qualifies as a deal since it's a new product and there is no previous price to compare against, and comparing against other telcos is even more contentious. On the other hand you could have posted the 30% off code as a deal, but where on the site did you see that?

I would say woolworths mobile is a better deal. 45 day expiry and $26.10 with everyday rewards card.

not a great in comparison to their previous $10 unlimited deals

not exactly equivalent, but the liveconnected medium is better value imo:

    http://www.liveconnected.com.au/medium

Even Virginmobile BYO postpaid plan is better than this with more than 2GB data and $450 credits ($1/min = 450 mins) for $20.

    • Agree but I think the Virgin 2gb offer expired at the end of last month. Pretty sure it's only 250mb now but worth checking before signing up.

    Even TPG is better.

    • and is TPG's data any good? i know it's optus, but I've heard from people in some areas you would be wishing you are paying instead to get a decent broadband connection.

      • They are both Optus should be the same. Unless you use Telstra.

        • i'm not too sure about that unless someone has both and can verify (re tpg vs optus), as I was previously on virgin broadband and as well as optus mobile data plan. I hardly get connected to virgin's while i have no problems surfing the net on optus.

would be awesome if tpg is good as i need cheap overseas calls too.

        • There are my way to get cheap overseas call. Like mynetfone android app and $5 whirlpool deal. Then you can use your data plan + voip.

        • Links?

        • seems that the person who negged my posts have nfi what i was asking about.

  • Data charged in 1MB increments… I would rather go with TPG or Liveconnected.

Deal but not the best compared to LIVECONNECTED.

www.moneysavingaussie.com looks terrible and gives terrible advice. LiveConnected gives you over 500 minutes of calls (assuming average call is 5 mins) and 1.5 gb of data for only $11.99 - heaps better value.

    • As I understand liveconnected won't allow international calls with the credit. It will charge separately but TPG can.

  • not a deal full stop

  • three hours air time is really poor & unlimited Amaysim calls count for nothing.

Get the 5gb x 45day Woolies vouch as suggested, OR (gasp) Vodafone, or practically anything else. Have to say though, plans that even remotely offend 'gainst the principles of network neutrality, grate me something severe.

  • Woolies Deal does look pretty good in comparison with all that data & if you're smaller user liveconnected $11.99 plan maybe better. Anybody had much experience with liveconnected? How's their customer service?
