I'm moving to Brisbane from Sydney to do my Masters, and know nothing about Brisbane (except not to swim in the river). I would like to find a place to lodge for a couple-few nights so that I can get my bearings and find something more long-term… while spending as little as possible.
My Campus is in Kelvin Grove (and this is around where I would like to live), so ideally the temp lodging would be around there as well.
Does anyone know of a good solution? Any help massively appreciated.

kangaroo point is a good place across the river for QUT.

about a 10 minute walk from Kangaroo Point (across the river and 1 km along) -get your self a bike and your set.
Are you confusing the Kelvin Grove with the Gardens Point campus? KG would be a bit more than a 10 min walk from Kangaroo Point or Southbank…
yeah i am confusing the 2, which is mildly disturbing as I was studying twice a week at kelvin grove in semester 1…..
