Has Anyone Noticed The Good Guys Bumped up Their Price during The Black Friday Sale?

Not sure if anyone has encountered this, but twice in this sale & during the last EOFY sale where they announced the in-store /online store credit promotion, they’ve increased their prices.

For example, was looking at this item RRP$1999, 20% off Black Friday sale was $1599 on their website yesterday. But as soon as the in-store/online store credit promotion was up, the price went up to $1699, with the same sign saying it’s inclusive of 20% discount.

Has anyone encounter something similar with The Good Guys?

    This is common practice by most retailers, bump up the price on sale events.

    Unless the item from the brand itself gives a RRP where customers can compare, such as beats studio headphones, then these retails will be dodgy. Is it illegal? Yes, but ACCC ain't cracking down hard on it…..
