I have a very close friend who is a regular to this forum and he always buys me very specialized gifts for special occasions. I mainly know his interests but the only thing I am sure of is, he is thrilled to find bargains from here and his main hobby is looking for deals probably couple of hours a day. I am looking for specialized gift ideas for him, but I can only find weird t-shirts cups, etc. Therefore, I decided to take your suggestions. As an avid bargain hunter, what sort of gift will make you happy for Xmas?

I meant his main interest is bargain hunting. I tried to buy gadgets etc previous years but he probably has most of them since he is chasing deals here. So instead of buying something he already has or a gadget, I want to buy something that serves his main interest.
he has a cute barky poodle, no games etc. No car, hubcap might be a good idea if he starts assembling one by himself.
find out which of the cashback apps he uses and sign up using his referal code and earn him money?

yeah very good friend.
Why not get him something he wouldn't normally get himself, something that is not a bargain but is nice to have or experience? If he is a very close friend then he'll be worth it.
Depends on the level of bargainer. I feel like some of the people on here would be like "ong what a waste of money" etc etc

Is there any subscription-type bargain app, or website that sends daily notifications that is not actually a scam that I can subscribe for him for a year?
:) maybe something that helps people on the spot while doing groceries etc, I really don't know how deep it can go.
Maybe something like an Ebay Plus yearly subscription or an Amazon yearly subscription. Thats where most of the bargains are found…
I mean I love having them, frequently use them but hate paying for them.
They are inexpensive. $50-60 a year each. But I would love to be gifted them. And in some way you are showing him you understand his bargaining ways. Something none of my friends understand or tolerate…

Of course he does! But its a yearly subscription. Im suggesting you simply pay for the next year. Although this can't be done with a gift as he has to pay for it on his own account.
If it was me I would write a card or something telling him what Im buying him with the money enclosed.
Maybe sounds like a crappy gift to some but personally I would just like the thought that went into it.
Remember you don't need a great gift, but the effort and thought that went into it matters more.Hell, just tell him you created an account on his favourite website to ask the forums what he would want…Probably the most thought I've ever seen go into a gift!
Something like opening a new mail , and linking it to new subscription paid accounts might work.
@biglebowski: Personally I wouldnt want to change my account as its linked to my personal email. So i get updates on shipping, delivery times etc via that. And I dont think you can pay for a yearly subscription via a gift card otherwise that would have been perfect.
Idk…it was just an idea. Hopefully somebody else might have a better one.
