Looking for good deals on Synology DS920+. Currently its retailing around $790 at Mwave and Amazon. Does anyone has any idea if it can go lower than that?

I'm considering a DIY NAS, should be able to beat the DS920+ performance for less money. The Fractal Design Node 304 is a little larger but makes up for it with flexibility and upgradability.
I’m looking to automatically backup my phone media gallery so i can free up space on my mobile and at the same time have remote access capability. I have seen Synology has its own app suite which would let me do that. Not sure if the DIY NAS would be able to do that.

I think what you are after is PhotoPrisim. You could certainly run this is you are building a DIY NAS.
More self hosted stuff for you to look into
performance for sure, but software is a big question mark. I believe your only option is unRAID or truenas.
I was looking for same. Good deal on the Qnap TS-464 if you are willing to change OEM.
Not sure about Qnap. Do they have their own apps to help me backup my photos and videos automatically? Also do they have remote access capability?

Search synology on ozb, open all the deals that has many +, take note of the store name and prices.
Check all those stores for possible black friday promo
