Greetings All,

Just a quick message to introduce ourselves to the OzBargain community.

The Veterinary Pharmacy is (you guessed it) a pharmacy for your animals. We are the first online veterinary pharmacy in Australia, and have been operating for nearly 6 months.

Our business has arisen from the demand by pet owners for cheaper medication than what they are paying at their vets. We think it is only fair that pet owners have the option to compare medicine prices, and that they can acquire these medicines from the provider of their choosing.

We invite you to have a look at our website and compare our prices. Our clients typically report savings in the order of 50% to 70%. All of our medicines are APVMA approved and identical to those used by your veterinarian.

Information on the process of acquiring prescription medicines for your pet is contained in the “How to Order” page on our site. We are based in NSW, and can supply veterinary medicines to all states except for Western Australia.

  Hi Snappy. Essentially you are comparing apples to oranges. We are doing the best we can, but are not in a position to compete with these prices because we are not wholesalers. We cannot act as a pharmacy (i.e. dispensing prescription medicines) and possess a wholesalers license. We offer over-the-counter products as a matter or convenience to our clients.
  
  Our real savings are on the prescription medicines, however only people who have pets on these medicines will appreciate the difference in price.
