Any decent Android deals from mainstream brands like Samsung or HTC around $250 to $300 mark? There're a bunch of sub-$200 ones but the specs are quite poor, looking for at least 800x480 screen resolution if possible.
Cheers!

Samsung Galaxy S Plus? Galaxy W?
HTC V or Samsung Galaxy W.
I'd say go the extra $70 and get a Samsung Galaxy S2 ($368)
where?
Where? It would be a OzBargain if you can get a S2 for $368

Took Google 30 seconds.
Then I read what they're selling:).
But that for 1,000 screen protection films. :)
I strongly recommend GSMArena (http://www.gsmarena.com/). Use their phone finder (http://www.gsmarena.com/search.php3) to define what you really care about, then have a look at the results.
So as an example, I looked for Samsung, model is currently available, phones only (no tablets), price range US$250-$300 (no AUD option), screen resolution at least 800x480. The results are at http://www.gsmarena.com/results.php3?sName=&idMaker=9&idAvai….
And that's one of the longest URLs I've seen.
Leave the brand name out, and the results are at http://www.gsmarena.com/results.php3?sName=&idMaker=0&idAvai…. You've got some quite nice phones there to choose from, but don't expect a new release.

The xperia arc s and the htc one v are pretty good choices.
