I picked one up from office works last week. Write speed 4mb/s max. Read speed about 16mb/s. This thing is so slow. It is also little too big, you might have trouble plugging it in the back of the computer with other USB devices.

My samsung pleomax 16gb flash from 3 years ago does 13mb/s write and close to 25mb/s read.

      4mb/s write? pass

      • I bought it after looking at false benchmarks stating it does 15mb/s writes. This is my second Sandisk flash. Both just as slow.

  • A few days ago Memorycity had the Ultra version for a dollar extra. Much faster. It's expired now, but it will come back.

After getting a cheap USB 3.0 device recently I dont think I'll ever buy a USB 2.0 stick larger than 8GB. The bonus of 3.0 is any half decent one will max out USB 2.0 speeds and those can be had for the same prices on a sale so why bother with these large slow devices.

  • Harvey Norman Maribyrnong has heaps of usb3 32gb Lexar usb sticks for $26. It's a much better buy
