I have the new toilet (pan and cistern), I just need a plumber to remove the old and put the new one in. It's a left hand skew trap type. Does anyone have a plumber they can recommend and give me an idea of the cost? I'm in the Melbourne northern suburbs. Thanks

Thanks for the map and locations. I'll check out each one.
Thanks. Funny they talk about "gallons" of water on their site.
Just DIY.
It's a shit job but piss easy.
Checkout YouTube if you're stuck.
'+ for using shit and piss within the reply :)
Lmao
It just seemed too complicated (because its one of the tricky old style toilets), but I'll check out your YouTube suggestion. Thanks
Just take a hammer to the old one, and if you can’t install the new one, aim for the waste pipe when you need to go (or use the shower).
Nup.
Aside from being illegal, if you make a small mistake like misaligning the plastic thread or not properly sealing the sewage outlet, then you'll be up shit creek without a paddle.
I never said it was legal
Shouldn't you "be in shit creek without any way out."
No, the legislation states that if you hire someone to undertake certain work then they must be licenced. And that will allow the license holder to be able to cerify their work
You can DIY.
It's easy to replace a toilet pan. Plenty of DIY youtube videos
That’s not how I read the legislation, and a quick google gives me a lot of pages saying I can’t diy anything to do with sewage/anything that connects to the sewage.
¯_(ツ)_/¯
Replacing a toilet suite is regulated work and must be completed by a licenced plumber.
I have to get mine replaced as well. Any idea on the cost of labor?
Yeah few actually, https://www.google.com/maps/search/Melbourne+northern+suburb…
