AAA/AA Eneloop Battery Storage Suggestions

Hi everyone, I'm looking for ideas on what to store my Eneloops that I bought from the Black Friday sale on Amazon today.

I can't seem to find any storage containers that have the right price to quality ratio. I only need to store about 16 AA sized batteries and 8 AAA sized batteries.

Suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,

DogeConomy

I've always just stored my Eneloops in the clamshell that they come in.
But all my other batteries, I keep in one of these cases:

The orange dividers pull out to size up the sections you need. So I've got sections for AA, AAA, C, D and other miscellaneous cells

Your solution seems the most promising so far. I think I'll buy this one if there aren't any more suggestions.
Thank you, and all the people who replied with suggestions!

    • I have been using them to store small parts for many years. These are good they have real hinges instead of folds that snaps like those cheap containers. The lid does not seal super tightly in the middle but the gaps are too tiny for batteries. Overall build quality very solid, you can stand on it and it won't collapse.

    • Hah I use this exact same one for batteries.

Perfect for used batteries, because they're also free of charge

      • Can also have a separate container for used

  • Excuse my ignorance…but what is so good about eneloop? Are they better than others. I have some energisers and aldi ones. They seem ok but not great.

They have a long lasting low-discharge rate, they retain capacity really well over time (meaning they're able to store electricity long term, retaining 70% of their original capacity after 10 years), they can also be recharged more times than most competitors (regular eneloops can be recharged up to 2100 times vs 1000 times for energiser, Eneloop Pros have 500 charge cycles due to their different chemical composition to be suited for high power usage appliances) etc.
Many reviews and tests have been done on them over the years such as here, here, and here.
Lastly, they're on sale right now, which makes them more affordable than usual.

P.S: There's also a rumour going around for quite some time, about whether or not IKEA's LADDA batteries are made in the same factory as Eneloops, so perhaps you could try them as an alternative. (I tried their AAA batteries out on one of their cheap plastic alarm clocks and so far a single one of the LADDA batteries lasted over a year now on a single charge from IKEA's factories, never had to swap or change them out)
P.P.S: If I'm wrong in any of my points, could someone fact-check me?
P.P.P.S: (that's a lot of postscripts) This is my first time buying eneloops since their price were unaffordable to me before. I've never used them before, so take my word on this with a very large grain of salt.

  • I use pokemon trading card game tins.
