Rex Bidding for Business Class Seats

Really interesting feature, the airline Rex is essentially allowing a bid war where you can see if you have the highest bid.

Other airlines offer the same but can't see what's the highest and minimum bid is, not $10 like Rex.

What's everyone's cheapest successful bid for business class seats?

Whats everyone's cheapest successful bid for business class seats?

Why do you want to know?

  • Last week $100 for business class at Virgin. Many times I've been successful for $50-$100 bids.

Rex Business is pretty much identical to Virgin when it comes to the seats and layout interestingly.

    • This is good info how many seats was on bid?

    • Rex has Virgin’s old planes and haven’t changed the seats.

  • I did this on a flight Melbourne to Canberra successful bid was $40 extra x 2 passengers

    • Insane deal, did it show someone out bidding you or shows you as the highest bidder?

I put an original bid of $60 but was oitbid.

The recommended bid was $114+ extra.

I put in $120 and now the highest bidder amongst 6 people fighting for 2 seats..

Not really sure how it works

      • Nope! I just bid on the website and didn't hear a peep until a couple hours before my flight when they emailed to say I was upgraded

  • Same seats as Virgin and Qantas on the B737 as well as Jetstar's B787. Not all great unless you're travelling more than an hour and you get a decent meal out of it. If you're just travelling MEL to SYD or ADL, I wouldn't bother IMO.

  • There system is crap as the others, just had one for a flight in 2 hours saying unsuccessful, there is no rebidding???
Cant even log into booking have to ring them. lol
