Nord VPN: 96% Cashback (Was 30%, Uncapped) for New VPN Plan Customers @ Cashrewards

160
  • Cashback is eligible for new NordVPN customers only.

  • Cashback is eligible only on NordVPN plans, and not on any up-sold products such as NordPass & NordLocker.

  • Cashback may be ineligible if using codes not listed on Cashrewards, and ineligible on any payments made with Crypto currency.

  • Cashback is calculated and paid on the advertised cost of the plan only. It will not include any GST, taxes, credit card or PayPal surcharges.

  • The amount that tracks to your Cashrewards account may differ to the paid amount due to international exchange rates. Your initial payment is converted to USD, then converted back to AUD when reported to us. The advertised cashback rate is based on the reported amount, not the paid amount. Cashrewards has no control over this process.

Hey guys. Here's some tips I comment in most CR VPN posts. Thanks :)

A new customer is defined by NordVPN, and nothing to do with your Cashrewards account. Simply use a new email address at their end, the same Cashrewards account as always, and you're good to go.

Click 'Shop Now' or 'Shop Offer' and buy - don't click away to other sites looking for codes and don't use any 3rd party plugins. Best to use the Cashrewards mobile app on 4G/5G as this eliminates potential issues with WiFi/router firewalls etc. Tracking for NordVPN typically takes 1-4 hours.

Remove any up-sold products from your cart such as NordPass & NordLocker as they are ineligible for cashback.

A tip from comments in previous posts is to select a country with no GST to save further at checkout as GST is ineligible for cashback.

And finally please remember you have the safety net of NordVPN's 30-day money back guarantee should tracking fail. All the best :)

      nice tip

  • Anyone know what counts as 'new' for nord?
    Just new email ?

Current 3 year plan ends now, and don't use it anywhere near enough to justify normal pricing

2 year basic plan looks to be about $100, so pretty cheap post cashback

Same here. Also keen to hear people's feedback of whether cashrewards is quick to deny cashback

  • Is this a good general purpoise VPN? Haven't been keeping up with the latest VPN shenanigans.

Its one of the best on the market currently

I used to own Nord VPN until it eventually expired - using the iOS Lira trick, I can get Hotspot Shield Premium and Dashlane Premium for $5 a year. Not as good as Nord VPN but a pretty good VPN for my needs.

  • How does this compare to surfshark. I signed up a few days back with them but would like to know some expert thoughts.

  • Not sure if it's just me/my device but I'm getting this error when I click on the NordVPN link from cash rewards

Happening through the app and browser on my phone

    Web page not available
The web page at https://cj.dotomi.com…… could not be loaded because:

    net::ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED

    • Working fine for me. Are you maybe trying to click through by having a VPN enabled? Also try via 4G/5G to rule out wifi/firewall issue.

      • Thanks, tried on a different device and internet and worked fine :)

  • Can i use this while using their black friday deal? Or after clicking on the link do i just hit get vpn?

[-] Digging for data is so profitable the nsa will pay you to use their services. lol.

    • Has anyone used this?

  • Ignoring technical VPN provider trust and security features here, but my paid Nord VPN service is way worse than my free Windscribe VPN service.

I have a fairly non standard and less than ideal setup (Windows LTSC virtual machine connected via a somewhat poor WiFi signal) so don't expect to receive the same crappy service I have had. But for me Nord has been very disappointing and demands a lot more of my time than it should. The biggest problem is that connections don't stay up, less than 12hrs is typical and when it manages to go longer than that it then usually disconnects within 72hrs. The most reliable connection settings are rarely the default/recommended ones and sometimes the default/recommended settings just don't work at all, to make this more frustrating the app updates will often or always reset all settings back to defaults. Those connection durations mentioned above are best case after experimenting for the best settings (re-experimentation between version updates is sometimes demanded of me because updates will not just reset the settings to default, but also break the settings I was using previously). The auto-reconnect option has never worked for me, the setting does save and persist through app restarts (providing no version update lol) but then when I leave a connection open and come back to find it disconnected, the auto-reconnect setting has been automatically changed back to disabled.

This behavior is consistent across multiple app reinstalls and on a new fresh VM. I'm pretty bloody unimpressed by Nord VPN. For comparison, Windscribe running on the same VM on the same machine in the same position over the same WiFi connection will typically stay connected for many months. Also the same physical wireless connection is used for Netflix and Prime from which we've streamed 1000's of hours of video and we almost never get a buffering pause due to network issues.

  • I've purchased a bundle by mistake.
Spoke to Nord support and They can only cancel the whole order and not individual items.

So, if I purchase again(with a new email address) will the cashrewards work for the second transaction?

    • I just did this and after 12 hours still not tracked. Did it end up working for you?

  • +1

    Purchased yesterday.
Received tracking overnight and looks like it will end up costing less than $9 for 2 years.
    Good deal OP, thank you.

  • It is only giving me offer for the 68% when i click shop now via the cashreward app and mobile browser?

    • That's not cashback from CashRewards - that's a "discount" by NordVPN

      • Yep I'm a dumbass, just notice that. So basically the cashback is 96% of the already discounted price. Nice

  • +1

Surprised no one has posted what the actual price is - I know it varies.

    So let me share.

    • 2 year plan: $157.11
    • 1 year plan: $112.04
    • Monthly plan: $15.72 (but why would you get this?)
    • -1

Yeah this is the first deal I've ever seen without any price or a bargain that's ~$112 a year for a VPN. We must be missing something…

      • Yea you're missing the 96% cashback. It ends up being $4.48 for a VPN for a year lol

        • Okay well that could be clearly explained like every other deal. Great deal now you point it out.

    • Ah I bought it but it looks like I completely missed that two extras (NordPass and NordLocker) got bundled in… cancelled it upon realising it. I initially asked for a partial refund but was told it wouldn't be possible - so instead they offered to issue a full refund, and then for me to rebuy it.

I said ok - but this deal is now expired.

Oh well - I'll wait for the next one - these always come up anyway

Paid $125.62 and tracked $117.12 in an hour. I have 3 VPNs for WC2022 now!
