[Listing Error] Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB DDR5 64GB (2x32GB) DDR5 5600MHz CL36 $318 + $15 Postage + Surcharge @ i-Tech

Mod note: Listing error is confirmed with i-Tech correcting the product listing. Moved to forum to continue discussion, particularly for users who may have purchased by mistake.

ATTENTION: THIS MIGHT BE A CORSAIR VENGEANCE RGB 2x16GB KIT ACCORDING TO THE PART NUMBER IN THE SPECS AND DESCRIPTION.
ATTENTION: THE PRODUCT PHOTO SHOWS CORSAIR VENGEANCE RGB, NOT CORSAIR DOMINATOR PLATINUM RGB.

Seems like a pricing error but probably the cheapest 2x32GB out there, and especially for a 5600MHz kit. And it's RGB.

Price error? That is too cheap!

  • +2

Description says 2x16GB, probably not worth the hassle to return it when you only receive 32GB total.

Good catch actually, the model number CMH32GX5M2B5600C36WK is for a 2x16GB kit. :(

    Damn It. Got one!

Same sh1t on the amazon: Corsair DDR5 64GB (2x32GB) for just over $300, and then in part number it's clearly 32GB kit.

was this for dominator or vengeance?

      • both ((

Not sure how to use 64GB RAM out on a normal computer, maybe only if when we run several VMs on it?

    • +1

64GB is a current standard for dev machine (3+ dev environments running same time). I have 32GB at the moment and it's hardly enough so I'm looking to get 128 for my new rig.

        Ah it makes sense👍

    In the overview

No such product is listed on Corsair's website:

    • Dominator Platinum RGB
    • DDR5
    • 5600MHz
    • CL36
    • 64GB (2x32GB) — not at this capacity (two types of 2x16GB are available though)

Thats the correct sku but cant speak for this listing just the amazon one that I enquired about. The sku doesnt exist on the corsair website, I asked there chat about it and seems to be a system error that they have been rectifying, chat also advised me that they had advised some stores to use the above sku till they updated the system. But who knows if the agent was pulling my leg or not. But I went with amazon for my order as easy to deal with

Vengeance RAM is not Dominator Platinum RAM.

      • I just noticed the i-tech screenshot isn't even for Dominator Platinum but for Vengeance, which does have 2x32GB 5600 CL36 models. I can't find white models on Corsair's website but I can find grey models that fit the description of 2x32GB 5600 CL36.

        https://www.corsair.com/us/en/Categories/Products/Memory/c/C…

EDIT: And just looked back and the description on the i-tech page is referring to Vengeance. This is getting more confusing, every detail's oddly mixed up.

Didnt notice they had done the dominator name in the title. This now confirms that it is most likely an incorrect title for the listing, everything else matches the 32gb (2 x 16) specs and all

    I-tech marketing 101…

Hate to say it but it looks like it's meant to be for the Vegeance RGB 5600 C36 32GB kit but simply a listing/description error…

Who knows maybe they'll accidentally send out the wrong kit haha and you score big haha.

I-tech have marked the item as out of stock. I placed an order and paid via credit card. Given that Amazon are listing the same thing and for a similar price, I'm keen to see where this goes.

We’re sorry to advise that your order was automatically cancelled due to product title error. Your order will be refunded in full back to your original payment method. We're sincerely sorry for the inconvenience.

    • Darn, at least you got the full refund so no harm but I wish I knew how to look out for these listing errors in the future. :(
