I don't run, I use them occasionally during weight training and recovery. The thermal ones I have been told do well of regulating your body temp, so keep you warm when you need to be, but not overheat when you don't need it. By experience though, I haven't tried any thermal compression (though I've used thermal tights from a camping store before). I only use them underneath long pants if it is cold though.
What would a person use for running in shitty cold winter weather? Thermal compression tights & top I suppose. How much difference does it make?
All these options.. seem superfluous. I just want something I'm not going to be cold in, but then not overheat in after I've been running for an hour.
