Fortis 27" Fan Resistance Exercise Air Bike - $119 ($99.99 Kogan First) + Delivery (Some Suburbs Free, Others up to $62) @ Kogan

60

On "clearance" at Kogan for $99.99 for Kogan First members (sign up for free trial, cancel within 14 days). NFI what the full price was, but Kogan says RRP is $799 and they are going for $550 on ebay https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/275532863291

I've been struggling to buy a used exercise bike that's not a PoS on marketplace for under $100 so decided to buy this. Here's hoping the build quality on this is 1/2 ok, anyone have a past experience while I can still cancel my order?

Other brands are $1000+, so I would expect an air bike for $99 to be a POS which will fall apart after a month.

The shipping alone would cost that!

Lots of fortis on gumtree so you can guess why

  • Assault bikes are no joke. Biggest reason I lost 25kg.

    • What kind of workout do you do? On the videos I've seen of people on the Assault and Rogue they're doing HIT. That does not appeal to me.

      • +1

I do HIT. Mostly 20 on 10 off. Started with 10 on 20 off lol.

  • 799 😆

    • Yeah, lol. Hence the "clearance". Ebay and other sites might be closer to the actual sales price between $300-550 it seems so $99 is still a discount from that. Problem i've found with kogan in the past is the rebadging of goods so you can't find other retailers selling the same thing to compare.

  • showing $62 postage to 4014 and 4006 to me… still tempted as i have been searching for a cheap 2nd hand one for months

  • Showing sold out. Price error?

I bought this one and it broke after the first use. Took a long time to arrange return and refund. I recommend avoiding

What specifically broke? Wondering how crucial it was. Thank you.

I've heard about Kogan refunds before so made sure to use Paypal so I can open a dispute if needed.

Recommend to avoid fortis exercise equipment.
A cross trainer suddenly snapped apart while I was using it, very dangerous.
Took ages to return and lots of effort to both argue about it and finally pack it up

  • OOS now
it's a reasonable price for an air bike. But Fortis is known for its poor build quality.

P.S. I bought a commercial air bike from a gym closing-down sale on FB Market.

    • How much did you pay? I've been looking for a while and haven't found anything sub $600
      edit: brisbane region

      • My friend got the lot for a bundled price and I got the bike for $300 so it's not a good reference.

  • Suggest being patient with marketplace as people still selling off their covid exercise purchases as they have returned to the gym. I scored a hardly used $1500 iron edge air bike for $500. If you don’t rush, something tends to come up for great price. Building up my gym this way.
