I got the CordTech IP44 Outdoor Safety Box for $2 a week ago at Bunnings. Its openings can't take heavy duty extension cables which are too thick for the holes, so sort of useless if I want to use it outdoors.

Bought it at the usual price. The hatch is very stiff but at this price it's a bargain

I got the last one at my local for 5 bucks last week and figured I was doing pretty good. The RRP online was 17 bucks or so
Edit: sorry just looked at the picture and realised that wasn't what I got, I got a box that accepts a few different cables for joining together inside it which is IP rated, about the size of a small shoe box. OP only joins two cables. Don't know why they call this a "box" really
