First time I’ve seen a tank being transported on the ring road.
First time I’ve seen people on the ring road actually slow down for a wide load instead of trying to overtake it.

"The M1A2 SEPv3s (Systems Enhancement Package) will replace the Australian Army’s current fleet of 59 M1A1 AIM2 Abrams’ MBTs in service. "
Guessing these must be the ones that are being retired.
Reckon they will clear them on ozbargain?
Probably not as they seem to be paraded around shows which is probably where this was heading to (or from).
Have you tried importing the photo into Google Tanks ?
Do they swim tho?
You must have known that people would downvote this.
Came here hoping it was a tank tank and praying it was an Abrams tank… was not disappointed…
Please tell me more of these tank movements comrade fellow citizen.
User name checks out.
Awesome!
Ukrainian farmer taking it to market?
Water
M1A1 AIM(Abrams Integrated Management) configuration in presumably Disruptive Pattern Camouflage…….
It’s not camouflaging well on the roads though. I wouldn’t buy it if it came on sale on OZB.
What if there was also a deal for camouflage paint?
Such a odd sight here
Probably on the way to Puckapunyal?
Hard to fathom that one unit costs about 9 million.
Great, now I have to choose between a 1br apartment in Sydney or an Abrams Battle Tank.
You can’t drive and destroy the enemy in your apartment. The choice is clear.
But you can fit this in your appartment?
As others have said, it is indeed a M1 Abrams tank.
The turrent has been turned 180 (facing back of the tank) so it may look a little odd first glance.
Here's a Battlefield Manual you can buy?
M1A1 Abrams Battle Tank.
