I used to get Kogan 5G on my prepaid service. It seems as if it has reverted to 4G+ with no 5G even in a few areas around CBD Melbourne. Download speed is 110/30. Is this normal? Website says 5G still running.

Access to 5G was clearly stated to only be a trial for a limited period of time to give subscribers some experience of it in the hope that some of them would switch to higher priced 5G plans when the trial period finished. The trial period has finished for a number of those plans. If you want 5G you now have to pay for a higher-priced plan.
As a trial customer, what's your take on 5G? Is 5G is an epic fail like so many people are saying?
Telstra 5G trial ends 28 November. I guess they want people back on 4G to ease 5G congestion or something.

Where as 4G was definitely a step up from 3G.
