  • $375/month for parking is crazy!!

    • +1

$375/month for parking is really not too much.

I remember seeing my friend's company's invoice, in my memory they were paying around $400 or so for one month's parking close to World Tower, and that was 5 years ago, I bet the price has gone up again :\

    • +1

      yes, it's crazily cheap
You won't find anything cheaper than $375/month parking in Sydney CBD. Unlikely early bird, monthly plan allows people to get in/out at anytime, including weekend.

disclaimer: I'm not affiliated to Domain carpark at all

      • but that is $4500 a year. thats alot of money
that is why i dont want to work in the city or drive there to work

    • +1

Do you realise that the state government charges over $2k a year to use a car space in the cbd, so near half of the $375/month would go straight to the government. The parking stations use the monthly parkers just to guarantee some cost coverage, they make the $$'s out of those that park for a few hours

I'm 25 male. $35k salary/yr. Have no car. Dunno how to drive. Live in public housing. Have no friend, even boys. Living with mum. Am I a failure?

Probably because u are, because u are wasting your time reading this when u don't have a car ;-)

      • -1

        Yes

    • last year we flew to tasmania. for a quick lunch, we parked our rent car in the city/cbd of laucheston. it costed $2/hour, we thought it was ridiculously cheap compared to sydney. however, an old guy behind me at the meter still kept winging that it was too expansive.

$375/month is really ok. if i have to drive everyday to city, i probably will rent a car space. but i take bus and ride motorbike:P

How to get the free parking if we unable to do the pre-book ?

An interesting point is if you look at your browser tab on that website, the title was "0,000 Free Parking Giveaway", no wonder no one can do the pre-book.

  • +4

click on the Pre-book parking tab on the top of click on http://www.domaincarpark.com.au/pre-book-parking.html
then type in promo code in the post. It worked for me.

Also keep in mind this is what you have to do on that day: (from domain car park website)

STEP 1 - Bring your email confirmation

Print out your email confirmation and bring it with you to Domain Car Park.

Enter the PIN number on your email confirmation followed by the # key into the number pad.
A parking ticket will be automatically issued to you from the ticket spitter. (Please note there may be a short delay)
If a number has been entered incorrectly, simply press # to start again.
Where to park - You may park your Vehicle in any parking space not marked with a "Reserved" signage.
After parking your vehicle, validate your ticket at an Auto Pay Machine.

STEP 3 - Exiting the car park
Simply drive to the express exit gates and insert the parking ticket into the ticket reader.

  • Could someone please clarify what this means:
