Found this today while recently googling bone conduction headphones, I realise this doesn't beat ANC ones but it's def a practical use case all thru for majority out there

Njoy

Update: buddy of mine able to price match JB for the pro version @ $209 and use their $30 voucher (for purchase above $200) and bag the openmove pro for $180 instead.

I have the Openrun Pro and absolutely love them.
Also I didn't realise Retravision still existed, good for them!

    • I too have these, got a great deal through Qantas frequent flyers ( even though I haven't flown for years). Love the sound too as more bass and controls seem easier to use too.
Only bad is my other ones are the smaller ( better fitting) ones. These only come is one size. These seem quite big ( I wear size M helmets).
Fits my husband well who wears size XL helmets.

  • need ipx8 for swimming use

    • Bone induction headphones for swimming?

      • Yep there's a few swim-specific models out there. Generally have on-board storage so don't have to be close to Bluetooth phone.

        • If you get a really strong pair can you just put it in the water and everyone in the pool/ocean can hear it? Kind of like a whale?

I ended up getting the Sony WS623 for lap swimming. They have onboard storage since water isn't a great propagator of bluetooth signal. Been happy with these though as they double as earplugs.

One thing to keep in mind is that most behind the neck earphones will fly off your head once you push off a wall of a lap pool, unless they're a softer strap that you can tuck into your goggle strap.

    • The open swims are really good, I own a pair. Only problem is they have no Bluetooth so only good for listening to music

  • I'm holding off until I see what BF/CM deals will come up - am sure someone did them for ~30% last year or year prior

      Isn't this deal 31%?

  • These are great, I have 4 of them paired to various different devices. They come with different patterned stickers for the sides so those with multiple pairs can differentiate them. I prefer these to their other models as they have onboard USB-C so no proprietary cables to lose or forget to take with you.

Great price, shame I don't need any more;-)

  • Thanks OP - been specifically waiting for 'shokz' to show up here. Grabbed the Openrun Mini (the normal size seems to big even for my big head) - grabbed from Pushys.

Amazon seem to be matching with vouchers too.

  • Just price matched the Openrun at JB HiFi to the Harvey Norman price of $158.
Maybe less at Officeworks with their price matching.
Off to the sauna and spa to try them out.
