Probably changed around the time the International Store shut down and the warranty went from a very wasteful physically destroy the backpack and send us footage to take photos of the defect. Note that they didn't and still don't repair, they just send you credit for a new one.But yes I agree.

Must be your luck of the draw. Mine has lasted 2 years and I’ve brought it along to outback trips in Adelaide and when I travel interstate. Still lasting strong. Bought when it was on sale from The Iconic

I don't understand the hype about Herschel backpacks when there are so many better brands available.
What other brands are considered good?
There's High Sierra l, Samsonite or even some of Dell's backpacks have better back supprt, breathability, rain covers and even RFID protection.
If comfort, function and quality are top priorities I recommend and have three Osprey backpacks. I have tried and still own many others packs until I discovered Osprey.

not sure why comments about quality are being negged. bought 2 hershel bags about 5 years ago, 'leather' portions just fall apart after awhile. for that price range, many many better options eg north face, belroy, thule, crumpler. better quality = last longer = better deal
