Probably good if you're flying from Sydney, but not from Melbourne.
Cebu pacific has a very bad reputation of cancelling flights especially MEL-MNL.

  • There is also some $2000AUD
Manila-Amsterdam return Business class flights in May if you want to try both ends of the plane on a trip to Europe.

  • their website is a POS and good luck trying to contact them via any form of customer service to rectify their POS website error.

    • What error on our website? Or do you mean Cebu's?

      • only a random site called Wingie is showing 197 for 4th may (Syd - MNL), other sites are shwoing 400+. Surely its an old fare and ticket wont be booked. we will just end up chasing up Wingie for refund

      • sorry should of clarified I was referring to cebus website, any changes to your flight via bags/seats/food/dates is a pain and a half to fix/amend or even pay for (had a change of date one flight and online payments errored out needed to actually go in person to the cebu counter at Sydney Airport to fix as impossible to get in contact with customer service). their old website worked fine this 'new modern design' they rolled out is half baked POS.

  • Just got back from cebu 2 weeks ago, 2 days after I got to cebu I tested covid positive. I'm pretty sure I got it on the plane because the mask wearing was not compulsory between gold coast and Singapore. The return flight gold coast to cebu was $340 but I booked 5 months before on a sale.

    • +3

      Were you wearing a mask?

      • +1

        now thats the key question

      • +1

I always wear masks even now when I go to supermarket. I only took off on plane for 10 minutes in 7.5 hour flight.

        • +1

im not an expert but i think 10 minutes is enough… i could be wrong

    • +1

Does testing positive have any issues
      with getting in and out?

      • +1

I really don't think so because you don't have to do pre departure test anymore before leaving Philippines.

    • That's a good price, was it $340 direct to Cebu from OOL, or via Manila

      • It was via Singapore but only catch is 18 hours transit.

  • +2

Philippine airlines is the worst on strictness over Cebu.

Cebu's like a lost donkey with free smiles.

Money spent on a Cebu Pacific flight is money wasted. After the amount of Christmases they ruined I can’t see how anyone would trust them with their money ever again.

    • +2

they cancelled my flight for dec 2022. no reason given. been almost 2 months and refund still ongoing. is it a scam? idk.

      • Yeah you’re not the only one. I think they were quoting something like up to 4 months for refunds? It’s out of control. Did you pay on your credit card? I’d try a chargeback through your bank.

  • What's the best website to book flights from Sydney to Asian countries?

  • Decent price however august-september-october is rainy typhoon season, hence why those flights are dirt cheap. Risky to travel to Philippines that time of year

    • Not if you like rain.

  • +1

George Christensen, is booking all of those :)

    • +1

He's a bit of an absolute unit, I've no idea how he'd fit in economy.

  • i went directly on cebus website and there was no return flight on the 26th oct. also cebus website errors out every now and then. impossible to check the flights there.
