The Latest Google Android 4.0 HD 1080P 4GB TV Cloud Stick USD $50.98 Free Shipping from Lightake

51

The CX-01 is a USB thumb-drive sized device designed to let you run Android apps on a TV. At one end of the stick there’s an HDMI adapter which lets you plug the device directly into an HDTV. There’s also a full-sized USB port for a keyboard or mouse, and a microUSB port for charging or connecting the CX-01 to a computer.

While the CX-01 is positioned as an internet TV, it’s basically a little computer, and a lot like the MK802 Android 4.0 Mini PC — except that model has a Cortex-A8 processor.

Also available in 4G(White) and 8G(Black and White):

  • somewhere in china they discovered raspberry pi…thus this was born

    • 山莓馅饼 :)

      • 屁股浆果馅饼 ;)

        • LOL! Is that your secret recipe? :p

        • +8

Google translate tells me "Ass berry Pie"

      • You lost me at 'Mountain'.

    • Can't even compare specs wise..

    • I got my invite to the next batch of Raspberry Pi's and successfully ordered it today! So I'm beamin'.

  • Sounds very nice, but depends on its performance..really ! Has anyone had any experience with one of these…. Does anyone know what sort of keyboard / mouse would work with it ?

I was looking at buying something like NeonIQ Intelligent TV, or GTV220, so I can use a browser on my TV to watch online TV shows and videos.

I bought the ac ryan veolo, $114 delivered. i am loving it for pps, torrents, browsing, youtube, videos etc
havent tested it streaming from a nas yet.

      • Mind to share the link or where to buy?

      • But alot different in size compared to the product above

        • and features/inputs

        • Is yours still running Froyo Mikinoz? I was looking at them & the Astone version of the same thing but I wasn't optimistic til there was an updated version of the OS. Online reviews weren't positive!

        • Yes mate it is, they have elduded to ICS but its not appeared yet.

Have to agree about the reviews, it scared me a bit. I ended up biting because i just wanted to see android on my tv, and didnt want hassles with apps. This one appears to be the easiest for apps ie natively download from android market (with latest update)

        • Cheers dude. Not that there's anything particularly wrong with Froyo/GB as OS iterations go, just IMHO updating the OS shows an ongoing commitment to supporting the product long-term. Nice to hear that the market works & they're considering ICS. :)

      • Can I ask, how well does online live tv streaming work, does it need to constantly buffer/ is laggy?

        • Good question, i havent streamed live tv. Any suggestions for me to try something?

        • Thanks will try when i get home and report back

        • Okay the first one no problem (couldnt hear them though)
the second needed a flash upgrade (i didnt do it)
Bloomber was fine same sound problem, will investigate further

          hope that helped

        • Thanks and do you know if theres any proxy/vpn support for watching overseas content?

        • Sorry no idea on that one.

Hi batrarobin, this iPazzPort keyboard would be nice for it http://lightake.com/detail.do/sku.iPazzPort_82_Keys_2.4G_Min…

  • Kogan has one coming out next month for $99. Probably better to get a known brand that's got reviews and most likely to get support by Android updates.

    • I was thinking of waiting for a decent ics device, but then i cant see an advantage with it for a smart box.

      Is there any?

    • Looks like a rebadged mk802 from the specs. Downside is 512Mb version but they do throw a cheap remote control onto it and its 40 bucks dearer.

    • +13

Kogan is not a known brand they are just rebadgers of cheap Chinese products.

      • Well, they are known for that! ;)

hey lightake, what happened to all your r4 cards? :(

    • Aren't they banned in Australia now?

      • +2

I think only if you put illegal games on them, legal to sell as-is but without roms.

      • They're banned from Ozbargain, I think.

    • +4

Hi Mattwiko, our r4 cards are still on sale, if you need them pls contact [email protected], thanks!

    JUNE2012 discount

    • Makes it $48.43 delivered nice

From what I can see, this doesnt have WiFi like the mk802 does.

The mk802 only has 4gb storage whilst this one comes in 8gb and 16gb versions.

The mk802 has a 'A10/1.5GHz Cortex-A8' whilst the one posted here has a 'TCC8925' whatever that may be.

  • Im not sure if yall are familiar with kickstarter, but heres a link of a more appealing looking android 4.0 tv ad on.

    with the stats ;

alot more expensive, but it looks more reliable..

    (pre order for october)

I already pre ordered one, so i dunno just sharing stuff.

  • These people will shaft you.! Sent me an android tv stick (mk802) with a US power adapter after advertising it here on Ozbargains. When queried "we don't have AU power adapter buy your own adapter"?? FAIL

    • +5

I've ordered heaps of stuff from these guys, never had an issue, only good service & prices for decent products!

I don't want this to sound callous, but did they advertise an AU adapter with the product? Did you ask before ordering? Or did you just assume that because you were ordering from Oz that you'd get an AU version?

    • +2

mudguppy1, this is actually pretty common. Even some of the smartphones listed for sale on OzB won't actually come with an AU power adapter either. It's good feedback for them, but I don't think it means they're dodgy.

    • +2

Just because you get sent a non-AU plug, from an Asian site, it's hardly getting shafted.

Your experience may have been different, but I received an email from the store, asking if I was okay with a non-AU plug. If I was, they would send an AU adapter with the item. If not, they would send me an AU plug when they get them in stock.

Not a perfect world, but Ive never dealt with this company before, and the communication I received was prompt, fair and courteous.

  • I would be happy to pay double if they have the following.

    1. 2 full size usb ports
    2. USB works with portable 2.5" HDD
    3. USB works with webcam (for skype video)
    4. an 3.5mm Audio Jack.
    • Its small, why would you want full size usb on it?

    • All work with Portable 2.5" HDD's that fit within the USB specification (5V,1A). This one might suit your needs more from the same mob with the same specs as the MK802 AND has 2 full sized USB ports on it:

      http://lightake.com/detail.do/sku.Mini_Andriod_4.0_HD_1080P_…

From the looks of it, it has analogue out ("AV" 3.5mm socket) as well as HDMI, so you it should support the 3.5mm jack type that splits into RCA.

Lastly, webcam support requires drivers in the Kernel. I'm sure someone will build a custom kernel later on with generic driver support for the webcam to support this feature.

  • Thinking of buying this instead now :

    with a fly keyboard :

    Any opinions please ?
