I use mine outside. I do find them very bulky and uncomfortable for longer listening sessions. Changing the tips can help a little bit.
Conversely, I'm comfortable wearing them for many hours until the battery drains and they don't stick out beyond my ears (I can even rest my head on them). I use the silicone tips from my XM3s.
How are the silicone tips compared to the foams that come with the XM4s?
@orbz: Far superior for my usage. They actually stay in and fit comfortably, can be cleaned and never fall apart. Big mistake on Sony's part not including both.
@Techie4066: I should try that out cheers, the foam ones are so annoying to clean.
Are 'seconds' like used earphones? Cos ain't that a lil grotty?
Mmm, tasty earwax.
exactly what I was thinking, yikes
You are probably right - despite all the science available today, the simple task of cleaning earbuds is likely not possible.
it could be as simple as a returned item or one that didnt connect. SO some could never have been used at all.
Have to be ebay plus to use this code
I bought some 3 weeks ago. left bud didn't work. sent back for refund..
Easy to get a refund?
It's still in process, but the overall procedure was no probs.
$184 with SNSMD2YNJTD96J7M and no need for Ebay Minus.
$125 with USEDEARWAX.
Ewww
TOP7OFF needs eBay plus.
BRANDSOFF5 worked to get it just below $190.
I'm read to buy some buds but the reviews from actual users on these are terrible, many stories of them failing in some way or another.
Product Review has several genuine sounding accounts of issues.I wonder if these refurbs that keep coming up are the result of these problems?
Reviews do say when they work they work great.
I'm eyeing of some LG brad buds now…. never though i'd consider that brand but the reviews are promising.
Really wanted the Sony ones though.
I bought a pair of seconds a while back, no issues at all. Supports Dolby Atmos on Apple Music /iOS and the apps are very good too with custom EQ and personalised audio - they were doing it by taking pics of your ears well before Apple introduced it for their ecosystem
PLUSFLASH3 makes it $180
These a very big and stick our alot from the head not really good for use outside the house. If only using at home they are very good.
