OLED Monitor Screen Arrived Shattered - What Can I Do?

Hi there, I bought the PG42UQ, a 42" OLED monitor from PC case Gear in Melbourne on Monday and it arrives today with a shattered screen.

I noticed the issue as soon as I opened the box when I try to remove the protect cover on it. I directly reported to them but it’s off the business hour. Will they do an exchange or refund for me? If they refuse, is there a law in Vic will stand for me?

Did anyone have a similar situation before?

Thank you!

Of course they will replace it. PCGC isn't Scorptec.

Its the sender's responsibility to make sure you receive the item in good condition. At least wait till they respond, you might be panicking for no reason at all.

They will probably send you the super glue if you didn't get it in the box? Once you have that, you need to configure the monitor by turning it on, you will see a jigsaw puzzle. Use the super glue to arrange the monitor panels until puzzle is complete and you will have completed the configuration and be ready to use.

The seller is required by law to repair, replace or refund your purchase, see the relevant law and the example scenario:

    Damaged items

If a product arrives damaged, it may not meet the ‘consumer guarantee’ of acceptable quality. To meet this guarantee, it must be:

    1. fit for the purpose for which it is commonly supplied
    2. safe, durable and free from defects
    3. acceptable in appearance and finish.

Depending on whether the damage is major or minor, the consumer may be entitled to a refund, repair or replacement. For more information, view our Faulty product page.
