Old Gas Wall Furnace Heater Replacement with Electric Reverse Cycle - Please Advise

My house is about 40 years old and it still has two original gas wall furnace heaters. I am thinking of replacing both with reverse cycle air-conditioners. I have the following questions:

1) What should I look for in the reverse cycle air-conditioners?
- Any recommended brands and brands to avoid?

2) Is there any government subsidy for such replacement work?

3) I assume the existing furname heaters will have to be removed?

4) What is the total estimated cost (2 reverse cycle air-conditioners + installation + removal of old systems)?

5) Anything to look out for?

Thanks!

  • I am in Victoria.
    1 sitting room = 32m²
    1 bedroom = 20m²
It's a single storey house and I think I can put the units on the ground.

No idea, but have a look at / asking on the My Efficient Electric Home Facebook group: https://m.facebook.com/groups/996387660405677/

  • Type Victorian upgrades programs in google that should take you to the website which will give you plenty of info about rebates .
