Not so much an EOF sale as clearing old stock…
The difference between the OLD U510320AU ($839) and the NEW V510613AU ($849) is the NEW one has
- Better CPU (3rd gen i7 over the 2nd gen i7)
- Better GPU (7670M vs 525M)
- Better RAM (1600 vs 1333)
All for just $10!
Although their RRP would have you believe that buying their old stock is a better buy ($1,399 to $839 compared with $999 to $849).
all those pc's are a ripp off… they charge $99 for an extra 2GB of ram when at a store it will only cost you $12 and $18 for 4GB :)
i just ordered a lenovo for $499 for work and picked up a $18 stick of kingstone laptop ram it now has 6GB's, something that would of cost an extra $150 to add if i was to do it through lenovo, same goes for dell
If you are referring about going from the 6GB RAM one to the 8GB RAM one, you also go from a 500GB HDD to a 1TB HDD…
And that would be $90, not $99.
The $849 deal seems good - am wanting to play Diablo III, anyone have any feedback on the video card? I know it's only 1GB and you can't seem to upgrade to a 2GB one, but will the 1GB be fine? For example, I've a lot of people bag out the Nvidia 2GB GT540m - is this one better? Plus moneybackco would make this a pretty good deal then?
2011 switchable lids for the Inspiron 15R are also on sale for $10 each.
They were $30 each a while ago and $50 each when i bought my laptop a year ago.
Whats up with the crap resolution screens?
I finally caved and got an Elitebook 8760. The lack of FHD screens on this line is disappointing at best.
if anyone's interested I'm selling my XPS 15 (L502X) from last year that has the FHD screen, GT540M and i7 2Ghz along with 2 years warranty left.
I wish there was a choice for which graphics card to choose from in the customise
