              @spiinl: I think they value them at 1¢ each to keep inventory. I went to Coles and behind an apple variable gift card was a printed out barcode saying apple variable card 1¢.

      Amazon cards from Coles - dont work at Aldi. Amazon cards from BigW - DO work at Aldi.

      Dont recommend anyone taking cards from one retailer to another but above is current status

      Just confirmed that this will not work. They looked identical but the barcodes on both are different. Aldi won't be able to scan the code. That's Coles and Aldi. Not sure about others.
      It says "No value until activated by cashier" on the Gift Card. :)

        So what we should have done is simply 'borrowed' the cards from Aldi before the sale date, and then brought them back in on sale day to purchase at the discounted price.

            @xoom: My Aldi here actually told me to take the cards and bring it back. Not everyone cares that damn much because they stated clearly that the cards carry no value until activated so it would make no difference. It is like trying to steal a blank cheque with nothing on it.
            So obviously according to the manager at this Aldi "you are not stealing" since what you have taken counts as no loss for them.

    I bought Ultimate Her cards for Mrs at Aldi Tarneit….heaps of them ultimate cards here…no Amazon….I asked cashier and was told as per manager their systems aren't able to process discount on Amazon cards so they have removed the cards from shelves and apparently this is Australia wide…

    Picked up 10 Amazon GCs in 2 transactions at Aldi Altona north, VIC after work.

    Still heaps like over 20 on the shelves. Saw the Manager restocking as well.

    Will head back tomorrow to get more.

        I was briefly in Munno Para area for work and walked into the Aldi opposite the shopping centre. The guy at the checkout said I could take all of them if I wanted (I had only 5 with me at the time). I went back and grabbed another ten (he had to scan only 5 at a time). There were only 2 left remaining when I left. Not sure if they'll restock in the morning. I would say check any other store that you might be around in the next couple of days as some stores don't have the 10% off sign on (Adelaide Airport store had the sign on and they were all sold out, whereas the Munno Para one didn't and they had 17 $100 cards when I went there).

    I just went to my local Aldi, picked up 10 gift cards which I then used to get my wife a new tablet. There was still 30-40 Amazon gift cards left and that was a few minutes before closing. It was very hard to actually find where the gift cards were, so that might explain why.

    If you pay via Apple Pay, remember to select EPTPOS as an option after double clicking the side button and selecting the card.

    Some important info. If getting giftcards (such as Amazon ones I got) Double check each on is activated before leaving.
    It just cost me about 2 hours of my time as one card got put through twice and another didnt get put through so was unactivated. Amazon support couldn't help. Aldi has no support line that works. I sent a feedback form to aldi a day ago and was in store today trying to get it fixed and manager says they cannot refund gift cards and I need to contact head office. Luckily while there my response from Aldi email came back saying to contact the store manager to fix. 30 minutes later I got it activated . Arrrrgh!!!
    Also note Salisbury in Brisbane has no Amazon cards left.

    Just used these to get Apple Gift Cards from JB Hifi North Sydney and Galeries Victoria.

    Staff had no issues with me splitting payment into different gift cards and even helped me swipe it through the terminal.

      In-store: there is no known limit. Someone once redeemed 81 TCN/Ultimate gift cards in one instore transaction at JB Hi-Fi.

      Online: you can only redeem a maximum of 1x Ultimate gift card on the JB Hi-Fi website, as the Ultimate gift cards in this deal operate on the Visa network, and you can only redeem 1x Visa card in one online transaction. The workaround is to "convert" an Ultimate gift card into a JB Hi-Fi gift card by using the Ultimate gift card to directly purchase a JB Hi-Fi gift card here. You can read more about it here, but I will warn you that the JB Hi-Fi website may randomly cancel gift card orders paid for with Ultimate gift cards (and this is due to JB Hi-Fi's fraud detection systems kicking in).

      And yes, you can use Ultimate gift cards to pay for Apple products (even Apple gift cards, if the staff member does not stop you) at JB Hi-Fi.

              @hamwhisperer: You cannot exchange Ultimate gift cards for JB Hi-Fi gift cards through the Ultimate website. That has not been possible for over a year.

              You can try to use an Ultimate Everyone gift card to purchase a JB Hi-Fi website (either via Apple Pay or directly entering the Ultimate gift card details into the credit/debit card section of the checkout), but you may have JB Hi-Fi cancel the order for the gift card.

              And yes, you can redeem it instore like any other Visa debit/credit card.

                  @Phong7: You cannot swap an Ultimate gift card for a TGG gift card through the Ultimate gift card website.

                  If you want to "convert" an Ultimate gift card into a TGG gift card, you must go to a physical TGG store and use the Ultimate gift card to purchase a TGG gift card. You cannot do this through the TGG website, as TGG sells TGG gift cards online via a third party retailer (True Rewards).
