Work Shirt Deals

I don't seem to be able to find many good deals on work shirts.

I remember Charles Tyrwhitt used to do 3 for $100 which was good and I'd usually jump on it but they don't seem to have had this in ages.

Does anyone know of any other deals going at the moment?? Where is everyone getting their shirts from ATM?

Thanks heaps.

I asked the same question and ended up getting some CK shirts from Myer for about $40-45 each. They are pretty good, material is lighter than TM Lewin though so I'm expecting them to not last as long but so far so good.

Yeah, I feel your pain. I got some recently from Charles Tyrwhitt and managed to find an offer for 3 shirts delivered for $169.80 but it was extremely difficult to find even that deal. I think the days of cheap CT shirts are long gone - ever since COVID hit, they increased their shipping and shirt price significantly and now that TM Lewin in Australia went bust (and TM Lewin UK decided to stop shipping to Australia as well), there's very limited competition.

Not a fan of CK shirts - I used to buy these from Myer back before I got on to CT. I found them overpriced for the quality and their 'Easy Iron' or whatever they call it, is terrible compared to CT's non-iron. I always iron my non-iron shirts still though - it just makes it quicker.

    • 3 for $170
Can get custom made to your measurements for not much more. Pickashirt from memory prices between $60-$80
I’m going to order more, was real happy with my last ones (until MiL shrunk them)
I’ve got about 6 CT ones in rotation and they do OK but don’t fit anywhere near as good as a custom shirt

Probably too early at the moment, expect some deals towards end of the month.

There's rules around how long items can be on discount sale and how long they should be offered full price. This period right now is full price till the sales start later on.

    • I think I will wait till towards the end of month. Maybe some black Friday sales or something.

Van Heusan do 3 for $119 with free shipping over $100 and a few sale shirts at $19 each.

Van Heusen is garbage tier quality. Even Kmart is better.

They're not a designer label anymore, they just sell their name on products made by garment manufacturers around the world (same for Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein etc).

Can't say I agree. They have held up pretty well, certainly better than some Charles Tyrwhit shirts I have. They aren't as thick in the material as CT shirts, but for everyday work shirts, they are fine.

Of course, if you are looking for designer shirts, you probably aren't looking for 3 for $100 deals anyway.

I agree, the last van huesen business shirt I bought was a white 'evercool' one.

A plastic bag would have similar breathability and probably better longevity.

    • I got these but they are rubbish quality compared with CT shirts
      :(

I haven't bought any CT since they were 3 for $100. I do have about 12 of their shirts though = )

Heh. One of the longest lasting but cheapest shirts was some Pierre Cardin business shirt 3 set I got on an ozbargain years back when JD Sports was handing out discounts like candy into Australia. They were about $3 each.

  • Just bought 4x non iron CT shirts for $200 including delivery, as they have $49 intro price. Tried two 2 far. One was decent, the other was rubbish. Too loose (even though it was slim) and very wrinkly for a non iron shirt. Free returns within 6 months though.
