Hi, I'd like to buy a Amazon.in gift card for a colleague based in India. I'm in Australia. I've googled around but can't see a simple way. I read that the gift cards are run by some local company in India due to gov restrictions? Not sure if it's accurate or not? Figure someone else will have done this already plenty of times?
Could anyone share a simple/legit way to do it please?

Hmm, ok thanks. So my Amazon.com.au login works ok at amazon.in.
I'm going through the checkout and into the fine print it says "Amazon Pay Gift Cards cannot be purchased using Amazon Pay balance or through Credit/ Debit Cards issued outside India". As I'll be paying using an Australian card you would assume it will not work?
Ant credit card will work but if your card doesn't do free overseas transaction - you may get charge 3%. Card I know don't get extra fees: 28 Degree, Ubank Visa Debit.

They earn a good margin of profits, USD $5 amazon gift card for USD $5.2
But I guess these sort of websites might be only way to score non Australian amazon gift cards. Would be better if they accepted paypal.
PayPal was originally connected to eBay and Amazon, and eBay are direct competitors. We'll never see Amazon support PayPal.
