Hi all, I am wanting to know what are your thoughts on when to buy the new Pixel 7.
I've been using an iPhone for a decade now and so I was not paying attention to last year's black Friday sale and whether the pixel 6 was on sale or not.
I want to change now and knowing there is a deal going on in Google store (10% off + 10% credit back) - should I take this deal or wait for Black Friday?

The longer you can wait the
cheaper it will bebetter chance you will have that they will have released some updates for it to fix some of the woeful bugs.

My new Pixel 7 Pro seriously feels like beta firmware. Shit not working or working part of the time. A fingerprint reader that really was a waste putting it in there if it is never going to work…
i'm asking myself the same question, kicking myself for not ordering a few weeks ago and getting the $300 gift card on top of the 10% + 10%.
I have a Pixel 6 and would recommend you pick up the 7! Wifi modem, selfie camera, GPU are better. Along with the software being iron out for the most part you will have a better experience than I did with the 6. Pretty much trash tier fingerprint scanner on the 6 for the first 9 months of ownership.

Seems like all of the Pixels have dropped a couple of months after launch so might as well wait if you aren't desperate for one. Although is probably not likely to be that much cheaper than 10% off.

You can expect more discounts on Pixels in the future so just wait a little more. I would expect more deals like Optus free Pixel 6a with a 7P deal in the future. Unlike Apple, Google will take a loss on hardware just to get you using Android so they can offer larger discounts. Pixels are really just a way to lock you into Google's ecosystem and they don't mind discounting/giving away freebies to achieve that goal.
Google financially incentivise adoption of their ecosystem to make it less painful. Absolutely. But when you're "locked in there" you can use hardware from any manufacturer that play nice in their walled garden.
Apple unapologetically sets team tool to large for their devices and then you're into their ecosystem. Once you're "locked in there" you're free to use hardware from any manufacturer that supplies handsets and tablets running iOS.
